Göran started following the question "What does Spotify use all these peer connections for?" in Spotify.
Göran replied on October 11, 2008 18:54 to the idea "Friends" in Spotify:
We expect 3rd parties to build these kind of features (and many other) on top of Spotify in the future, much like the sites for sharing Spotify playlists that are starting to emerge here and there.
Basic friend/social features could of course also be included in the client, it would be a nice enhancement.
It's a balance act though - making Spotify a full-blown social network may be possible but probably is not optimal. Including basic social features in the actual Spotify client could be a nice middle way.
Göran replied on October 11, 2008 17:45 to the question "How do I activate the MSN track notification function?" in Spotify:
I *think* this is only working in Windows right now.
For Mac, have a look at https://www.spotify.com/blog/archives...
Not exactly what you asked for, but Adium is to some degree Spotify enabled.
Göran replied on October 11, 2008 17:41 to the question "Premium invites" in Spotify:
Hampus,
You may very well get more invites in the future, but we don't make any specific promises at this point.
As it stands right now you get some invites when signing up for Premium, but no new invites each time your subscription is renewed.
But as said above - you may get more invites at some point in the future. Santa is coming in a couple of months, who knows what goodies he will bring? :)

Carl-Axel's reply to "What happens with cancelled paid account?" was just promoted to the most useful! Göran and 2 other people think it's one of the best replies.
If you have started using a Spotify premium subscription and then you decide to cancel it, the account will automatically revert to a Spotify free account after that month's subscription period expires. You can find out more about Spotify's paid for services in our terms & conditions, http://www.spotify.com/en/legal/end-u...

Göran replied on October 11, 2008 13:23 to the question "Will there be an equalizer to Spotify?" in Spotify:
Good idea, thanks for the suggestion.
We keep a long list of possible enhancements to Spotify, and use it as input when planning for coming Spotify versions.
Keep an eye on the Spotify blog at https://www.spotify.com/blog/ for the latest announcements about new features and general updates.
Göran replied on October 11, 2008 13:18 to the question "Will Spotify have a Visualizer mode?" in Spotify:
It's a nice idea, short term we probably have more pressing features to put in place but a visualizer should go onto the general todo list.
Keep using the service and maybe you will see that we added that feature.
Keeping an eye on our blog at https://www.spotify.com/blog/ is also a good way to get the latest announcements around Spotify.
A comment on the question "How do I use more than one account on the same computer?" in Spotify:
...and you can then log in again with your own user.
This way several people can take turns using Spotify on a single computer. – Göran, on October 11, 2008 13:13

Göran replied on October 08, 2008 07:42 to the question "Premium Invites: Not accessible in Germany?" in Spotify:
Spotify Free is not yet available in all European countries. Germany is right now one of those countries.
We will be rolling out the service to more countries in the coming months and during next year, so please bear with us while we scale our service to handle more users, music and features.
You can however already today buy Spotify Premium in Germany and other European countries.-

Göran replied on October 07, 2008 13:26 to the question "Windows Mobile client for Spotify?" in Spotify:
Maybe - depending on market interest, technical feasibility, commercial potential etc.
We are always thinking about how to improve Spotify, mobility is certainly an interesting and obvious feature that a lot of people ask for.
When this will happen? Not quite known yet, but keep an eye on the Spotify blog at https://www.spotify.com/blog to be in the loop on the latest developments around Spotify and our device support.-

Göran replied on October 07, 2008 13:17 to the question "Can you stream to a Squeezebox?" in Spotify:
Agreed - the Logitech Squeezebox and Spotify would make a nice combination. Bringing Spotify to devices beyond the desktop is on our todo list, but it will be some time before we get there - no launch date for this yet, or exact information on what devices we will support.
Keep an eye on our blog (https://www.spotify.com/blog), when the time is right we will announce support for additional platforms there. Meanwhile, go grab an invite and enjoy the service on your Windows or Mac!
