Granny Joan replied on November 08, 2008 20:51 to the question "Photo Question" in Snapvine:
A person would log onto their account at snapvine.com. From their homepage, they would click on 'add photo' on the right hand side of the page. Use the 'browse button' to select a jpg file from their hard drive and then click 'upload photo'. This will load in the picture for their profile. This picture then becomes the picture that is displayed when they make a blog post or comment. Hope this helps.
They can edit this photo at anytime, to change it, using the same steps, instead of 'add photo' it would be 'edit photo'.

Flash 10.0.12.36 on Mac with Snapvine site working without problems this morning. Thanks for the fix. Also widgets were successfully posted on myspace with Flash 10 installed and a Macintosh. Still an embed code error when pasting code to eBlogger but works once the embed error is fixed. Still no luck with Flash 9 or 10 on Yahoo 360. Looks like Yahoo may still be having issues with flash player or posting the widgets to that site.
Thanks again. Working on my mac just great this morning.
Granny Joan replied on October 30, 2008 18:46 to the question "INTRO" in Snapvine:
Looks like you can use the phone, but all these methods seem to need the Adobe Flash Player to work. Suggest downloading the Version 9 Flash player, installing and restarting your browser. Then try the intro record again.

Granny Joan replied on October 30, 2008 18:36 to the question "INTRO" in Snapvine:
I don't believe you can add an intro via phone, it has to be done via microphone and the recorder on Snapvine (which requires adobe flash player to work ... DO NOT recomment installing flash player 10 YET as it is still buggy ... but you can search the archives on adobe.com to find the Flash Player 9 versions which work fine). Alternate thing to do would be to use a program like audacity to record your intro and then save as mp3 file and use the upload option to upload the mp3 with your intro.
Hope this solves your problem.

Granny Joan replied on October 28, 2008 23:25 to the question "why cant i make an intro for my voice player" in Snapvine:
I am assuming you already have the player embedded on another site and wish to change the current intro, if that is so ... then,
The voice player widget allows you to record an intro by phone or microphone when you set up the widget originally and it becomes the first comment on your player. After this widget is placed on a social site via the embed code, the one way to change this intro or first comment on your player is to:
1. Log into your Snapvine account at www.snapvine.com
2. Click on the 'edit intro' button under your picture on the right hand side of the page.
3. Use the recorder on the left hand side of the page by selecting microphone, upload or phone to record a new intro. Click on 'Stop' when finished.
4. The new intro will be playable at that time and will be the first comment on your player.
Hope this helps.

For me at least, it seems it's working now, I'm able to graphically display it as well as hear the audio from it, so I'm assuming all's working fine, great job SV! – Scott Bull, on October 24, 2008 06:03

Thanks Krista. I am able to put all three widgets onto MySpace using V9.0 and Firefox on a Macintosh. They all post just fine. There are uninstallers and old versions of Flash Player on the adobe.com site (use search window on that site to find them) for those that want to revert back from V10 to V9, however, Nov 1st is certainly not that far away.
The widgets I had posted on Yahoo 360 have disappeared and know that is a Yahoo issue. The ones I post on eblogger work, but I have to correct the embed code to get them to work. Hope this helps.
Thanks again for all the hard work in getting this fixed. I am sure it is hard to keep up with all the changes that come in from other products.

I also have only since 21 okt 2008 had this same exact problem after almost 2 years of using snapvine widgets on my computer--the Kinkos computer also shows the same thing Flash 8 or better crapola needed, and so I don't think its a lap top or kinkos computer problem--something on snapvines end must have changed because I have never seen my widget vanish from my myspace pages at myspace.com/behsduongkhnyum999 and myspace.com/besdoangkhnyum108 so, something's up--I got adobe flash the same numbers as above so that's way better than flash 8 and I also have upgrades...

It seems pretty much everything is having problems with FLASH at the moment, SnapVine, Yahoo Mail/Messenger....

It should also be noted that Yahoo is having problems with FLASH at the moment, so some people might not be able to use Yahoo Messenger from within New Yahoo Mail on XP systems, Vista seems unaffected, (there's a first time for everything, I guess).
In the meantime, V9 of FLASH seems to be working just fine for SV. – Scott Bull, on October 21, 2008 02:39
