Where is picklist column option?My picklists seem to work in my old blists, viewing them in the new socrata format; however when I create a new dataset in socrata and try to add a column, I don't see a "picklist" option in the gray dropdown area. Is this option somewhere else? Is it temporarily disabled? Is it gone (gulp) forever? (I have searched the forum for picklist, but none relate to my situation.) -

Thanks, Chris. I guess I was confused and panicked. When I went back to socrata, I saw the dataset embed feature. Another question,.. sorry. Before the blist widget was limited to three sizes. Do I know have more control over the widget presentation in my webpage through my html code or is it just one standard size. (I know, I have to try it, but if I know the answer ahead of time, it will save a lot of frustration.I am a teacher and I use blist and widgets to present information to parents via the web. I am not a programmer, so I do a lot of guessing and missing. ....But I do appreciate what you are all doing.) – GregoryK, on June 01, 2009 23:27 -

1. What is the API? I am not a programmer, so should I be concerned with this option?
2. What about the widgets? (Is that what the API is for?) Will they continue to work in my webapges indefinitely?
