Heather replied on July 10, 2009 20:42 to the idea "Standardised Command Feedback Mechanism Needed" in Mozilla:
Hi Marcus,
I know Brandon has already offered you some feedback on the list, but I'd like to answer here so other people know what's going on with this idea.
First, the good news! The commands that come with Ubiquity were written by people on the core Ubiquity team. So for Map and Twitter, giving that feedback here or via the ubiquity-firefox list will in fact get to them. You highlight a very important point, which is that it's not actually clear to the end user who wrote them or how to get support for them. I'll be working on making that clearer.
As far as standardizing the feedback method, that actually will be difficult to do for commands that don't come bundled with Ubiquity, because we can't force command authors to include their email addresses. However, I think there's a command author style guide in the works, so we should highlight how useful including those commands are to authors. (We already do in our Command Authoring Tutorial).
I do really like, at least for standard bundled commands, the idea of a feedback link.
If you want to see how we're progressing on these issues, you can see the bug ticket I just added here.

James, you're right. That query doesn't work in the preview (but it does work if you execute the function). You've made us aware of yet another edge case related to this command.
Improving the weather command is on the list for the next release of Ubiquity. Making addresses more reliable and making preview work in non-english versions of Firefox are both issues we are aware of and working on.

Hmmm, interesting that changing back to pre3 fixed it. I'll see if I can find out what might have changed between those two versions.
Kutullu, for lack of a better troubleshooting step, can you try installing pre3 and see if it resolves your problem?

Here are two versions of a command that work in 0.1:

I don't know of any that have been updated for 0.5 yet, but I'll post one when I find one.

LOL Jonnan.
Nick, it seems you are having this problem too. Do you see anything in the error console (tools->error console) after pushing the shortcut key? If you type "about:ubiquity" into the address bar, do you get the about page?
