I know at least one person has stopped following my check-ins because I'm too spammy. :P But while that's a good incentive to be more deliberate about my Gowalla activity, an even better incentive would be to show me the number of people following my checkins. (By "following" I mean "receiving push notifications.")

I'd be strongly motivated to manage my activity in order to keep that number going up instead of down.

This is a problem with Twitter accounts set to private. We need to double-check whether the account is private before trying to load a user's tweets.

Once that's fixed, you'll stop seeing the credential dialogs.

Apparently none of the Adobe apps get along with Spaces. Illustrator and Photoshop CS3 on Snow Leopard are constantly putting their windows in the wrong space.

Limited-time items should not obey the 10-item pack limit

For an item like the Crush It book, where the stamp and the item are both very limited-time, one should have a 100% change of getting the item even if your pack is full. In this case, Gowalla should just give you the item above and beyond your limit.

This is especially important since one cannot re-check-in to try again for several hours, by which time the event may be over.

I was using the spot pages to track down items I'm still missing from my vault; but information about item drops and pickups seems to have been removed.

Tweet spam is just going to get worse as Twitter grows in popularity. I'm pretty sure that eventually tweet filtering is going to be considered a must-have for any Twitter client -- like junk mail filtering for an email client.

Might as well lead rather than follow here.

The Mac icon is much more distinctive -- the iPhone's just looks like "generic chat app."

I might suggest that the "spymaster" Twitter phenomenon makes some kind of RegEx tweet filtering all the more timely... please?
