Please use Launchpad so that Ubuntu users could get new versions of Songbird right away without having to wait for a new Ubuntu release - because Launchpad projects can get Launcpad-hosted repos (PPA) for Ubuntu.

Although I do understand that your audience isn't really about Linux, such a tracker in addition to Linux package management could be a great thing and would be adopted by many users. Just because most of the software in Linux is not only free but can be installed with a click.
Is there any place where I can track the status of this project? I mean, the Linux version.
P.S.: At least you could provide means for submitting statistics manually.

Auto-fill feature for iPod Shuffle?

The only problem with Songbird for me is that I can't randomly fill iPod like I would in iTunes. Furthermore, Songbird can't convert files on the fly, so that my Shuffle could get more songs (I've got my collection in mp3 320, which is unnecessary for Shuffle). Any idea how to do that with Songbird? If not, can this be implemented via the Songbird or some addon?
