Here's an example of a (working) login I made: http://velocisoft.webs.com/wii/xmarks/
I based it off of http://rs.nintendo.com and a photoshopped Xmarks logo. It adjusts to the widescreen/fullscreen settings of the user. rs.nintendo.com based their page off of the Wii's favorites menu, so the Xmarks version is also integrated into the ui.
I would love to create the online interface all myself, if that meant I could use it on my Wii, but I don't have the knowledge of the inner workings of my.xmarks.com to do that. If someone could help me out on that, I'm sure we could get this done.
Since the Wii doesn't support bookmarklets, much less access to the bookmarks, what you could do is set up two bookmarks: one that open the online interface, and one that adds a bookmark. For adding a bookmark, you could set up a blank page that detects the referrer URL or the previous page's URL and sends that info to the online interface, which detects that they are adding a bookmark and adds it accordingly. It's not as good as being completely integrated into the browser, but it's the next best thing.

A comment on the question "Xmarks: Where's Opera support?" in Xmarks:

It might work to export the bookmarks as HTML, then, using a program, import those bookmarks to Xmarks, export Xmarks' to HTML, then import those into Opera using another part of the custom button. I know that is is possible to use a custom button to export the bookmarks as HTML, and to import them from HTML. If it was possible to just make a macro or something to automate this, that would work. – Isa Superfast, on December 03, 2009 01:25

Every once in a while, my bookmarks will be copied out of one folder and into another folder, so now I have 2 sets of bookmarks of some folders.

Ok, sorry about the delay. I tried it with Login Only, and it still didn't work, same as No Encryption.

Widgets are primarily intended to be separate apps that run on Opera software, not extensions. That's not to say it can't be done, however. For example, there are different kinds of ways to extend Opera, such as Custom Buttons, Custom Searches, Custom Commands, and Power Buttons.
Someone also made a synchronizer for Opera on Linux using Python, so it is probably possible to write a program instead of an extension. Then a button can be used in Opera to call the program's functions.
Just a few ideas.

Personally, I'd say the list of future extensions should be:
*Chrome (btw the current alpha is beastly)
*Opera (if possible)
*Safari for Windows
*Others

Never mind: fixed the problem; I usually set Chrome to auto-open in incognito, but I didn't know it couldn't install extensions in that state. When I opened up a regular window and installed, it worked. Try that if you usually use incognito and see if it works. Thanks for your help!

I'd rather not keep it at none if possible, but I set it to Login Only until I can restart and check. It was set at Encrypt All. If that doesn't work, I'll try no encryption.

I have a similar problem: When I click "Install", I get the "Save As..." dialog, as if it was a regular file.. I save it, and then I can open it with Chrome, but nothing happens. If I go to chrome://extensions then install it from there, it says that it installed, but nothing happens after that. No sync, nothing.
I'm using the developer channel, version 4.0.223.11.

When I log onto my XP, Xmarks comes up asking for my username and password. It just started doing this recently, and every time I tell it to remember my password, but it always asks me when I log on. When I open Control Panel>User Accounts>[myaccount]>Manage my network passwords, it says I don't have any network passwords, even after I log in to Xmarks.
The other problem is that when I open IE, Xmarks says that data on my computer is corrupt and asks me to either overwrite server or computer data. Xmarks for FF works fine, and so does my.xmarks.com

Are these related? How do I fix them? The first problem isn't too bad, but the second worries me.

It fits the whole screen, but the links are very small and hard to read. The menus are hard to select because of the Wii's motion sensitivity. The Internet Channel auto-zooms out to about 1024x768 (I think, haven't tested yet), when the screen size is 800x648 (have tested that). That, plus the sensitivity of the cursor, make my.xmarks.com hard to use. The iPhone version works pretty well, except that some of the graphics don't work, it always opens in a new window, and you can't add bookmarks from there.

Is it possible to make a Wii version of Xmarks? If nothing else, even an online version that's optimized for the browser would be fine. Ask me if you need to know any stats about the Wii browser. If someone did plan on making a version, a website to model the page after might be Nintendo's Recommended Sites for the Wii at http://rs.nintendo.com. Please tell me if it is possible. I'm sure many others have been waiting for this, too.
