Jaanus asked a question in Skype on October 13, 2009 18:44:
Skype To Go setup destroyed(A backdrop of this is that my Unlimited World subscription was automatically renewed this week for another year, which may or may not be connected with the problem.)
This morning, I found that my Skype To Go number was no longer working. I came to skype.com and saw that it thinks I have no Skype To Go number, and offered me to get a new one. What's worse, it had also forgotten all my speed dial contacts and I had to recreate them, which was annoying.
So I got a new Skype To Go number and recreated my contacts and now everything is working again. Still, it was bizarre. I hope I don't have to do this every year upon subscription renewal.
Another bizarre element is that skype.com thinks my previous SkypeToGo number was online number, and says "Your Online number +1..... has expired. Reactivate" I don't want to do that, and there seems to be no way to get rid of this notification either.
Giacomo 'Peldi' Guilizzoni's reply to "Same Mockups For Desktop license on multiple machines?" was just promoted to the most useful! Jaanus and 2 other people think it's one of the best replies.
In short: go ahead and install it on as many machine you use personally.
I have multiple machines so I understand. What I care about is that you don't just give your license to all your friends, that's why I ask for a full name when you buy Mockups For Desktop (also, your name is encoded in the serial key)

I just thought of how to do this elegantly in the UI. I also share the need of having common components (e.g a menu) shared across pages, and I want to edit it once and change on all pages:
in the top, you have categories like "All", "Big", "Buttons" etc. The last one could be "My Components", where you have your components.
By default it is empty, but when you are working on any mockup, you could "Save As Component", and it then shows up in that category. And then you can just drag things from My Components onto canvas as you normally would, but can't edit them. If you want to edit, you have to open the component by super-triple-doubleclicking or doing some other special action on it, and then you edit it on the canvas.
On the disk, all the components are just normal bmml files in some special location (App Support etc on Mac).
Cabel Sasser's reply to "Coda Code Collapsing" was just promoted to the most useful! Jaanus and 2 other people think it's one of the best replies.
Indeed, our friends at TheCodingMonkeys have added code folding to the core engine used by SubEthaEdit and Coda. It's something we've been waiting for, and something we talked to them much about.
THAT BEING SAID: there are still a lot of OTHER things we want to add to Coda for the next release, so please note that it will still take some time before this will make its way into Coda proper.
But I hope it might bring some solace to note that the code folding work is essentially complete! :)
Jaanus replied on August 04, 2009 22:17 to the idea "Want to crop images in Mockups" in Balsamiq:
+1 vote for cropping. It is a very common workflow for me also to import an image, and then crop just a portion out of it, discarding the rest.
For an implementation idea, I really like how iWork Pages does cropping. Images could simply have a switch: use cropping yes/no, and if yes, you have a simple rectangular crop mask, and you can keep resizing both the crop mask and image non-destructively. And if you switch away from the image component, only the masked piece of image is shown in the mockup.
I attached how it looks in Pages.

A comment on the question ""New Mockup" should appear at END of tabs list" in Balsamiq:
Ok, these two topics are related. But that other topic is more broad, whereas this particular one is only about the "New Mockup" placement upon creation. – Jaanus, on July 08, 2009 02:03
Jaanus asked a question in Balsamiq on July 07, 2009 23:39:
"New Mockup" should appear at END of tabs listI often have a number of tabs open, and right click on one and select "Clone As New Mockup". The "New Mockup" tab then appears in the BEGINNING of the tab list. Is there any reason why? Could it be at the end of the list instead? This would be more intuitive and similar to e.g browser behavior when opening links in new tab.

Jaanus replied on July 04, 2009 03:44 to the idea "Linking Spotify and iTunes" in Spotify:
The thing that would make sense to me would be that Spotify simply reads iTunes library XML file, and then you can listen to the same songs in Spotify, complete albums etc. I don't think iTunes and Spotify can or should be technically somehow linked, but just being able to use Spotify to discover more tracks etc about the people you have in your iTunes, would be a great start.
A comment on the idea "Drag and drop an image from Finder to canvas" in Balsamiq:
Gave it a quick test with single and multiple images, worked fine. – Jaanus, on July 03, 2009 14:14
Jaanus shared an idea in Balsamiq on June 18, 2009 16:43:
Drag and drop an image from Finder to canvasWhen adding an image to mockup, currently I must add image component first, and then locate an image using the built-in file browser. It would be easier if I could just drag an image straight from Finder on OS X into Mockups, which automatically creates an image component.-

Jaanus asked a question in Panic Inc on May 06, 2009 15:28:
Can I edit CSS colors hex code in visual editor?I like Coda's CSS editor a lot, but one thing I can't find how to do is to edit the hex codes for all colors. The editor offers the built-in OS X color picker with the wheel and everything, but no place to edit hex codes (or I'm too dumb to spot it).
Is there a way to edit the hex code without switching to source edit mode? (Which is doable but a bit annoying.) If not, can we please have it as a future feature?

Jaanus asked a question in Panic Inc on May 05, 2009 21:50:
Coda should support UTF-8 encoded HTML sourceI was surprised to find out that currently, Coda does not support UTF8-encoded source. Even if you don't care about non-English development, you'd still expect to be able to natively enter "smart quotes" and other typography that Unicode very nicely provides.
