The automated fraud prevention process most likely locked the accounts. Please contact support@youdata.com if you have not done so.

Unfortunately, it is very difficult for us to remotely troubleshoot Adobe Flash installations on peoples Windows/Mac/Linux machines. Suffice it to say that we have tens of thousands of customers that are successfully using both the Flash-based Adgets and the AIR version of the Adgets with Flash 10+ on their PC's.
Please visit www.adobe.com and ensure that Flash is working and attempt to get the flash version of our Adgets working before using the standalone AIR application that we have available for download.

Richard is right about not getting paid on Friday, September 25. And we dropped the ball in support of him to get it corrected. We had a single batch of PayPal payments (called MassPay) fail which impacted 250 accounts. We are paying individuals who contact us straight away. The rest will be automatically picked up this Friday with the new payout process. The amounts were small enough for most that individuals elected to wait and carry it forward.
Sorry to you 250!

Hi Michelle,
We respond here on a regular basis to threads that need attention. We also respond daily to email requests sent to support@youdata.com. I see an email from someone matching you circumstances and I responded there accordingly. Here is the basis of that response for the benefit of all others:
-----------------
Hi Michelle,
I've taken a look at your account(s) and I also will assume that you are the Michelle that left a request at getsatisfaction.com so I'll answer there as well.
Your three accounts were disabled on June 26 by an automated fraud prevention process. There are two things in particular that were flagged. One is that we currently only allow two people per household and you had three. Additionally, the accounts were flagged as having been accessed over some period of time by the same person.
In your case, I will be happy to re-enable two accounts of your choice but please know that our Terms of Service requires that each account holder access his/her account only. The advertisers are paying for each targeted individual's attention. Logging in to an account other than your own violates that agreement.
Thanks for your understanding and let me know which two you would like enabled.
James

(Posting this here too since multiple threads existed)
Hello everyone,
We do have ads flowing through the system. Not everyone matches the ads at all times. For instance, unless you live in a particular set of zip codes in Texas, you will not receive an ad from a regional sandwich shop. Unless you are a mother of boy in a particular area, you might not receive an ad currently running. This is how advertisers gain value from YouData -- their ability to target very explicit demographics/geographies from the MeFile population. Consider the size of our user-base. If a company wanted to target all females in the United States that could cost them tens of thousands of dollars for an ad campaign that will last a few hours. Instead, they use the system to target VERY specific subsets of the female population. It is a much more effective spend than than spending thousands of dollars on banner ads that reach males and females with no potential connection to their product whatsoever.
Here is a testimonial from a recent advertiser who ran a very small campaign with us.
http://paperlocket.typepad.com/studio...
She spent a small amount of money to generate the exact traffic of the profiled consumer that she wanted. It's very effective.
Of course we'd love for everyone to have a significant number of advertisements every day and depending on where you live and what your MeFile indicates, you might. We are working to sale ads all over the US.
All that said, we seem to have picked up a number of users from various survey sites and work-at-home sites. So I would like to mention that we are not a paid-survey site. Nor are we a work-at-home site. We are an advertising network. We do not encourage our users to repetitively visit youdata.com in the hopes of receiving an ad offer. Instead, we would encourage you to visit sites that have the youdata adget in place (like http://www.kirtsy.com or http://www.thebloggess.com) and throughout the course of your normal day's web browsing you will be presented with paid banner advertisements from time-to-time. This is in contrast to every banner ad network out there where you make $0 for your attention. Our model allows the site owner to make money, you to make money, and the advertiser to reach a very targeted group. There simply aren't enough targeted advertisements for you that will sustain repeated visits on a daily basis (maybe one day there will be). We so strongly believe this that we are considering removing the standalone ad player and the adgets page from yoduata.com proper and replacing it with a roll of sites that contain the adget. This will help enforce the message that we are an ad network and not a survey/work site.
I hope that makes sense.

I just responded in another thread to this same person. I will merge the topics. Posting in multiple threads only creates more confusion and work for everyone. – James Mayes, on September 16, 2009 16:19
