I really don't want to be argumentative - or seem like I want everyone's passwords! - but can you give an example of this? I just tried to search on "password" in the docs.google.com domain and the only hits I received were on support documents, not any of the "blurbs" you mention. I'm all for finding holes if we can, so if you can point out what's being leaked, I'd love to see it so we can try and get the information out there.

Chad Everett replied on July 07, 2009 19:33 to the question "Do instant messaging icons work, or are they cached?" in Yoono:
Hi Todd -
Just restarted Firefox (roughly 7 hours after I left the original message, according to GetSatisfaction), and AIM and Google Talk are now showing the correct icons. So I'd guess that they are cached somewhere - either by Yoono or the services.
MSN and Yahoo, however, still haven't updated. They do show icons, but they are the default ones (sorry if I said they show no icons).
The MSN icon is a blue silhouette, while the Yahoo icon is a gray smiley.
I can see some faces from other users (in my buddy lists), so Yoono is capable of displaying icons - it's just not showing mine. Let me know if you still want a screenshot of the default icons.
Chad Everett replied on July 07, 2009 18:14 to the problem "IM's won't connect with Yoono 6.0" in Yoono:
I think you have it. Just to summarize again to be sure -
- 6.0(.1, I think) didn't work (on my desktop - have a laptop that works fine).
- Installing 6.1 did not help.
- Uninstalling and reinstalling 6.1 at first seemed to resolve the problem - I was able to add services and log in (after the restart).
- After a later restart, however, the IM services could not log in.
- I was then able to register and they have been working fine since.

Do instant messaging icons work, or are they cached? It seems that the various instant messaging icons aren't updating - are they cached, or do they just not work? Looking at my AIM and Google Talk accounts, they use an old icon that has been updated, while MSN and Yahoo are simply blank (not the old icon, just nothing).
So just wondering if they are working or if they are cached or...?

Yoono updates show author - possible to show original/reply indicator as well?Say my friend Foo posts something as a response on to Bar. In Yoono, it shows up in Foo's feed. But there is no real indicator that it's a response, other than perhaps the wording in Foo's status perhaps.
For Facebook it might be something like a link to "read comment to Bar" - though I don't know that there's really a convention for this. I don't even know if the Facebook API provides this information, though it would sure be nice. Even better would be the ability to see it visually, similar to how Twhirl does it with a small image of the other user (Bar in this case). Not sure how it would work in the "all" stream, since you have the Facebook icon there. But it would be really helpful, so I don't think that I'm seeing an original status update from that user.
For Twitter it might be something like "in reply to @bar", with a link to that status (Tweet). I'd think this would be possible, as every other Twitter client has it.
If the "in reply to" text is there, then the visual indicator is less necessary - but I'm sure that some people would like it. Perhaps even including the original somehow would be cool. :)
Chad Everett replied on June 09, 2009 22:26 to the question "Suppress recommendations on certain pages." in outbrain:
Hi Kate -
It's easy for me to make this behavior happen as you describe it - in WordPress I can change the control panel, in MT I can just not add the code to those pages.
But if I don't have the screen real estate, due to design differences, then I would really like to be able to simply turn off recommendations on certain pages.
Since my listing pages (vs. my archive pages) have specific body classes, I can use something like this in the CSS:
.entry-listing .outbrain-recommendationsFieldset { display:none !important; }
And it seems to work. But I'd prefer if I didn't have to do that, and could instead control it through the plugin (a control panel would be ideal).
Thanks!
Chad Everett replied on June 09, 2009 19:14 to the idea "Option for image preview?" in Yoono:
Hi Adam -
I understand the idea - and though I think the idea of a paid version is probably likely to be more useful to whatever you can gain from ads on the image preview (though that's another topic!) - at the least, the timer could be extended.
I do like the preview, as it means I don't have to click, but I'm open to about anything. For instance, as I came to reply to this message, I happened to cross over an image. Couldn't have been there for more than a part of a second. Up popped an image, complete with blinking ad!
If I had the option to at least delay the pop-up for a full second (or perhaps longer), or even click to display the preview, that would be great. It's just getting it when I completely don't expect it that's annoying, you know?
Thanks again for a quick reply!
A comment on the question "Is it safe to upload private documents on Google Docs?" in Google:
While the link from Gmail does use https with this setting, I'm not redirected when I type in http://docs.google.com... do you still see this behavior? If so, I'm curious why it happens for some and not all. – Chad Everett, on June 09, 2009 14:02

Option for image preview? The image preview is nice and all, and I also appreciate that you want the ability to display ads - all blinking and annoying and whatnot. But sometimes I just don't want to be scrolling by my updates and be hit with either an image preview or a blinking ad.
Is it possible to get an option to disable image preview entirely, and only get them when clicked? Or perhaps even the ability to lengthen the time that you hover over the image before they display. It seems lately that they pop up much more often.
Chad Everett asked a question in outbrain on June 08, 2009 11:58:
Suppress recommendations on certain pages. What I'd like to do is show the star ratings + recommendations on the entry pages and the star ratings only on the other pages (index, monthly and category archives). I am comfortable modifying the JavaScript if I need to add or modify a variable, I just don't know what it is. Is such a thing possible?
Thanks!

Todd mentioned that the information isn't currently available through the Facebook OpenStream API. But it would definitely be cool. :)-
