Hello Jennifer,

I think you are referring to the preview image of the clock bulletins. In that case you will not see the hands on a analog clock or the digital output in the bulletin preview. When the Display Engine is launched on your display, the hands on the analog clock and the digital output are applied.

You are correct, currently there is no way to give a user access to setup zones on one channel only. The Setup-Global System Configuration is the access right that gives user the ability to access the Configuration menu, which allows for the editing of all channels.



This is a common request, however, very difficult for us to implement as discussed in this thread:

Hello Dave,

To exclude words you simply add them to the exclude word list and separate them by commas.

Due to a bug, the excluded words are not being filtered correctly. The resolution to this issue will be released in the next version of Carousel (5.2.7). For tracking purposes the case number is 4082.

The only way that you can have four different crawls is if you have four channels (requiring 4 channel licenses), as a crawl zone is assigned to a specific channel.

It sounds like you have selected 'Manage Bulletins' from the Main Menu if the options you are seeing are 'Active Bulletins' and 'Repeating Bulletins'. To create an Alert bulletin (specific to one zone only), select 'New Alert Bulletin' from the Main Menu. Make sure that you are on a zone that you have clearance to create Alert Bulletins, which could be the reason that you are not seeing the Alert bulletins option. For a Full Alert bulletin (specific to channel-suspends bulletins for all zones) select the tab at the top of the Main Menu.

Using an Alert bulletin is the best way to play a video at a specific time.

Announcing Carousel 5.2.6

Carousel 5.2.6 is officially released!

To those of you who have been patiently waiting for your weather bulletins and crawls to update, your wait is over! Carousel now retrieves weather data via WeatherBug rather than the National Weather Service FTP site. Gone are the days of battling the firewall to open the FTP ports, as access to HTTP port 80 is the only requirement.

We tried to keep the user-interface changes as minimal as possible, so if you knew how to use weather bulletins before, you know how to use them now. The only big difference is that you now use a ZIP code instead of selecting your State and County. Weather crawls have another bigger change, namely that you can now specify the exact format of your weather crawl. The Carousel manual has been updated accordingly, so check it out.

Bug 3920: Digital clock doesn't handle h:mm custom format
The digital clock custom format of h:mm (single digit hours will not have a leading zero:single digit minutes will have a leading zero) will auto-scale the text as expected.

Bug 3922: Weather Bulletins are not updating on a regular basis
Weather data is now pulled from WeatherBug, resulting in reliable updates.

From the Main Menu select Manage Bulletins:All Bulletins (tab at the top):Active Bulletins. Locate the bulletin that you would like to change and click on the Edit bulletin icon as shown below.



Click continue and you will see scheduling page. Deselect all days of the week except for Monday.
