Jim replied on July 15, 2009 20:37 to the question "Anyway to add cities?" in GoPlanit:
Hi Jon,
Right now, there is no way for users to add cities onto goplanit. The main reason for that is that we don't want to have too many duplicates or incorrect cities being added and not being able to manage them all. However, we can definitely add cities as we notice ones that are not in our database. Thanks for letting us know about Burlington, Ontario, Canada. The city has now been added and can be found here: http://www.goplanit.com/research/dest....

Jim replied on December 08, 2008 19:05 to the question "Does anything work?" in GoPlanit:
Hi CTboy74,
We are working to resolve the problems that you have noted above. But, it might be helpful for us to locate the exact origins of the bugs if we know a little bit more information.
What type of browser are you currently using?
1. Duplicates in your plans - Can you let us know when this happens? Is this after a save or is this happening when you go from one view to another?
2. Can't delete items - Is this happening for all items? Or is this happening for only specific items?
3. Reserve option for lodging doesn't work - can you let us know which hotel it is?
We'll definitely look into this as soon as we can and try to resolve these issues. Thanks!
Jimmy

There are a couple ways to add categories and activities.
1) If you want to submit an item so that you and other users can find it in our database:
You can easily add an item using our user submission interface. You can try it out here - http://www.goplanit.com/submission/ad.... There, you can add activities, restaurants, and hotels directly into our database. From there, you and everyone else can now access this information.
2) If you want to create a custom item for just this one trip:
If you just want to create a custom item for one trip, you can just click anywhere on the calendar or click "Add Custom Item" and create your item. You can put in the address, phone number, URL, and any other pertinent information that you'd like to add. This will not be accessible by other users and will only be for that particular itinerary that you are creating.
3) If you want to add categories to an existing item:
You can do so from the item's page. For example, lets say that you want to add a category for the Denver Zoo (http://www.goplanit.com/activity/9014...), you'll notice that under the link for the "Website" there is a link that says, "Edit this page". Click there and you can edit anything on the page (pending a moderator's approval). From here, you can add any categories that you think fit the item you are looking at. Right now, there is no category for "snowboarding" but you can absolutely categorize it with the "ski and snow" category.

Jim replied on October 14, 2008 07:03 to the question "Purpose of Trip Notebook & Print Schedule Option" in GoPlanit:
The trip notebook is an area where you can keep track of your unscheduled items, notes, or other options. You can easily drag and drop items from this area to/from your calendar/schedule as you finalize your plans.
The print view can be accessed by clicking the "Print" link on the top right corner of the planning tool page. I have included a picture with the "Print" link circled in red.
Please let us know if you have any additional questions!

Copper Mountain has been added to our database. You can find it here - http://www.goplanit.com/research/dest.... You should be able to create your itinerary to Copper Mountain from there.
As for flights, USA is our three letter acronym for US Airways. You'll notice that once you' select an airline, it changes to the appropriate 3-letter acronym. Please let us know if you have any other issues with these two items.
