I'm not 100% sure but it sounds like you might need to change the Advanced Preferences to either allow browsing to any URL, or add a URL pattern for yourdomain.freeagentcentral.com*:

There's more information on this on the Fluid site.
Let me know if this helps.

Hi Jim
We wrote a blog article about this very thing last week. I've not seen any such problems when creating the Fluid app.
What URL are you using to create the app? The correct URL should be of the form:
https://yourdomain.freeagentcentral.com
(Note: this is HTTPS, not HTTP)

Can I create a FreeAgent Fluid app on OSX?Has anyone had any success in creating a FreeAgent application using Fluid on OSX? When I try and log in after creating the app, it opens my default browser to a page on the FreeAgent site saying "Oops - that page doesn't exist!".

Hi Jim,
Here is the correct url: http://help.beanstalkapp.com/articles...
Where did you find that broken link, so that we can fix it?

Ed Molyneux replied on August 29, 2008 07:58 to the question "Do you support multiple currencies?" in FreeAgent Central:
Jim P,
Thanks for making contact. Development for our multi-currency invoicing is well underway but we don't expect to be handling multi-currency banking for a while. It's significantly harder and we need to do some more research into the most usable way of doing it.
Sorry if that's not the answer you wanted to hear just now.
Jim P replied on August 29, 2008 07:23 to the question "Do you support multiple currencies?" in FreeAgent Central:
I also need the ability to have a bank account that's in a different currency from my 'base' currency. For example, I have a UK bank account for my UK clients and a Danish bank account for my clients here in Denmark. I'm currently having to ignore the references to 'kr' (kroner) in my UK account in FreeAgent and pretend they're UK pounds. However, that messes up the profit and loss and other general accounting functions...-

Stuart Jones replied on August 25, 2008 10:53 to the question "How do I enter expenses?" in FreeAgent Central:
@Jim,
I don't know if you have an accountant but if you do it's worth asking him/her how (s)he wants you to categorise your expenses. For example I advise clients not to capitalise (analyse as fixed assets) any item which costs <£300 as I would analyse it as equipment repairs.
It won't take long and it will save your accountant time in the long run so you shouldn't have to pay for the advice!
I have a list of typical expenses which I have categorised if it would help. E-mail me if you'd like one stuart at 3ca.co.uk

Jim,
Thanks for trying out FreeAgent!
Once you've entered the business bank account(s) you have (under the Bank Accounts tab) you can upload bank electronic bank statements that you've previously downloaded from your online banking website. We handle the formats from pretty much all the banks.
These statement transactions will then need 'explaining' - you assign them to a category, define what vat was paid if any and enter a better description. You do this by clicking on the red transaction and filling in the form you see.
Future similar transactions are automatically explained using the same values, which should save you time.
FreeAgent then uses those explanations to help calculate your taxes and build your realtime accounts.
Hope that helps - if not feel free to ask again....
