Well, while we are waiting for a response.... I read this article (http://bit.ly/2lkCFb) earlier today and find it particularly interesting considering we are waiting to hear from some of the "community builders" and "problem solvers" at twitter. This is part of my role at beta.strands.com, and I always try to respond to a user's concern ASAP. The sooner the better IMO.

John Rogers replied on July 08, 2008 19:30 to the question "twitter cost" in Twitter:
Yeah, it's just like sending a text message from your phone (if you don't have a texting plan, it's typically 10 cents for every message sent or received)... also you can tweet from twitter.com or from several applications you can download for your desktop (my favorite is twhirl... available at http://www.twhirl.org/)

John Rogers asked a question in Vidoop on July 07, 2008 19:42:
Why does my browser not auto-fill anymore? Why does my browser not auto-fill anymore? I am running FF2 on OSX and since installing the myVidoop toolbar in my browser, my browser no longer auto-fills the passwords and logins :( Instead, I see the pop-up bar at the top from myVidoop telling me "I know passwords for this" so I click okay to fill them in. A new tab opens and I go through the process of selecting the 3 images, then the tab closes.... and nothing! I am where I started, without anything.
Is there something I am missing? Seems I am just adding one step to the process to I can be advertised to... Let me know please :)

John Rogers replied on June 03, 2008 18:29 to the discussion "Feedback coming here?" in Strands:
Hi Josh, I think you are right.... you are the only person talking about Stands on GetSatisfaction :)
Although we don't have it implemented now, we will have a support community built into the next release of Strands. A place where we will update the community with what we are working on (features, bug fixes, etc.); a place for people to collaborate and share ideas about Strands; and a place where our fans can give feedback on what we're doing.
Currently there is a combination of people using e-mail, twitter, and GetSatisfaction to provide feedback on Strands :-)

John Rogers replied on June 03, 2008 15:57 to the discussion "Blogs != Microblogs/Notes" in Strands:
Hey Josh, thanks for the feedback... and don't say sorry, we love hearing what our audience thinks :-)
But you're right, there ought to be a distinction between the two. I have seen this comment a couple times - people want to follow blogs, but not hear all the "noise" that twitter creates in the stream. Until we get these services separated, an intermediate fix might be to add blogs as a miscellaneous RSS feeds, to keep them separate from the tweets (but of course, other people would have to be doing this to keep their blogs showing up in your stream....).
Currently micro-blogs like twitter, notes created on Strands, and blogs all appear in the category of "notes" - the next releases of Strands will have more distinction here.
