I've just noticed this problem too (or something like it) and it's not to do with Flash blockers or firewalls.
I'm using Safari 4.0.3 on Mac OS X 10.4.11.
I have a number of pages with embedded issuu assets at Families Solent East. And on all those pages the page loads but there's a "Canceled opening the page" message in the status bar...

And on pages at issuu.com I get "(1 error)" reported at the end of the status bar message.
Looking at Safari's Activity Window, the problem in both cases would appear to be related to:

I've just encountered a situation where my above observation morphs from being merely an annoyance into a full blown usability problem.
A client has self evidently followed a comment link from the project home, found themselves at the top of a thread they hadn't read before and commented on the original post rather than the comment I had subsequently appended to it.
In other words, the fact that the comment link is not to the comment id url is making things less clear than they would be in email!
This has got to be fixed.

Facility to attach documents to comments (like Basecamp!)Not being able to attach documents to comments (like I can in Basecamp) is a real pain!

On project home link comments to comment url not to top of thread! The list of latest activity on the project home is useful (though it gets cluttered due to the lack of a preview) but it's a real pain that the link to each item goes to the top of the thread in question and not to the id of the specific item!
For example, instead of the link to a comment cited in recent activity going to:
https://account.goplanapp.com/project/discussion/view/10
It should go to:
https://account.goplanapp.com/project/discussion/view/10#comment_XXXXX

Jonathan Schofield asked a question in Goplan on October 29, 2009 13:35:
Better communication of and options for notifications2 of the things that Basecamp does very well are:
- Provides checkboxes on Messages (discussions) so that one can pick and choose precisely who to notify of a post.
- Provides a confirmation message of who is being sent a notification message upon submission.
With regard to point 1, I do know about this option but first, it is not documented and there is no help text so most project members are not aware of it; and second, it requires one to know the correct username off by heart. In short, it's not good UI.
In the absence of point 1 being addressed any time soon, I'd at least like to see something along the lines of point 2.

650px width applied to comments as well, please!Further to this previous discussion with Fred, can we please have some width constraint on the styling of comments?

Now set up for Jabber should something like this ever happen again -- though of course it won't ;) – Jonathan Schofield, on October 28, 2009 19:47

Jonathan Schofield reported a problem in Goplan on October 28, 2009 18:26:
Broken discussion contentOne of my discussion posts has lost all the images that were inserted into it. This is not an edit I have made.
To be more specific, all of the text of the post is still there but all the HTML derived from Textile use of !img(Title attribute content)!url is gone.
It was there this morning when I made a minor edit. But at some point this afternoon without my intervention it had disappeared. At the same time, the discussion list was resulting in an error page but this seems to have since been fixed. The missing content persists, however.
Please, is there a backup that can be invoked.
A. I need this fixed.
B. It can't happen again!
I have mailed support but not heard from them. Please help!
