After checking into my first location, the problem went away.

I'm looking forward to the full Android application so I can start madly entering all the places I go that aren't in Gowalla right now!

http://m.gowalla.com is not loading on the Android-based Motorola Cliq. When I load the web page, it sits on the Passport tab and indicates that it's loading. It never loads, even after ten minutes of waiting.

I used a task killer to close down everything else running, so that I had close to 100 MB of free memory for Gowalla to use. No luck, it still won't load.

Is anyone else having this problem on their Android phone?

A comment on the question "Where is the Android App Download?" in Gowalla:

I mentioned it over in the other thread on this topic, but I thought I'd mention it here too: the Mobile Web thing is just not working for some people. I can't get it to load properly on a Motorola Cliq; it just sits on the Passport page and loads forever without doing anything.

Please give us a real app written for the Android. Heck, I'd pay a decent amount of $$$ for a real Gowalla app written for the Android platform. – Jon Wilkie, on November 07, 2009 07:02

I tried the Gowalla for Mobile Web thing just announced in the Blog, and it doesn't look like it's working on my Motorola Cliq. I really hope there's still an actual app in the works, because m.gowalla.com is a non-starter.
