Josh Salcman replied on December 21, 2009 00:32 to the question "What should I do if the videos or text look blurry in the tutorials?" in VirtualNerd:
One of the most likely reasons you might see blurry video or text in the tutorials is if your computer monitor is set to something other than its optimal resolution. Let's say your monitor (or laptop display) is designed to show 1440x900 pixels. If you have it set to something other than that (e.g., 1024x768), there's a good chance things on screen will appear blurry, because your computer may attempt to scale-up the display, resulting in something other than a one-to-one translation of the pixels -- this often results in images that look "smeared", "chunky" or "blurry". So, to make a long story short, check the specifications for your monitor or laptop, and then make sure your display settings match.

Hi Arianna. We think it's really important to have practice problems, and we absolutely plan to offer them. As for when we will be able to launch that part of our service, we're hoping to be able to start providing practice problems and quizzes this Spring. We promise to let you know when we do! Also, we will have tutorial videos with more complex examples on our site very soon. If you haven't already, please become a fan on Facebook so we can let you know when. Thanks for your great input!

Thanks for your question, Stephanie. Virtual Nerd intends to offer both free and paid versions of our tutorial service. We're finalizing the details of what will differentiate the two, so I can't share those with you at the moment, but we promise that even the free service will be useful if you need help with key concepts.

It would be great to be able to preview answers before posting them. This would be especially useful to those of us who sometimes use HTML in our answers. It would be nice to be able to fine-tune formatting before starting the clock ticking on the 15 minute edit period.
