Hi Daphne! That is a fantastic idea for a UI enhancement. Currently, one must go to the "manage searches" page, located on the "Searches" widget in the left sidebar. There is a little sprocket icon there which takes you to the page where you can delete searches. We're working on making this more accessible. Thanks for your input! ~Julie

Hi George! We have a lot planned for the Frequent words. We are considering enabling a "exclude this word" or "make this word required" feature from the search results page. However I do not believe we have considered replacing preview or including it alongside the preview. That said, brilliant idea. I will surely pass along to the product dev team and we will consider. Thank you for reaching out. Feel free to contact support@scoutlabs.com if you would like further assistance with your searches. Thanks! Julie and the Scout Labs team

Interesting idea! I do know that searches are alphabetized, but the keywords themselves....have not thought of that before. Did you know that you can folder your searches? Perhaps that is what you mean? Let me know what account you are in (private message, perhaps?) and I can show you where to do that. Thanks for reaching out! Cheers, Julie

Julie replied on September 28, 2009 19:07 to the question "How search result created" in Scout Labs:
More importance is given to posts with relevant words from within the Blogs view. However, I should have been clearer - relevant words are not always acknowledged the same way when searching comments/Twitter/photos/videos. Only Required and Excluded words are absolutely considered for each of these sources, and each content source has different rules and exceptions for relevant terms. If you are interested in the rules for individual sources (Flickr, for example) let us know.
Julie replied on September 25, 2009 17:42 to the question "How search result created" in Scout Labs:
Required terms are mandatory, which means they must be present in each piece of content that is returned. Relevant words effect the ranking of results and are highlighted, but are not mandatory. Excluded terms, if present, will remove that content from the results. All content sources should return results that accurately reflect the query specifications.

Hello Amadeo, We are still working on the solution for comprehensive analysis of Twitter content. It is most likely those other services are working with only a portion of data. In the meantime, we have been trying to solve the "full coverage" problem. We might cave and integrate the incomplete sample of Tweets into the tool (for graphing and analysis), but have not made that decision yet. Will let you know when there is progress. Thank you!

Julie replied on August 24, 2009 20:56 to the question "Language support for keywords" in Scout Labs:
Jonathan,
The Scout Labs application is optimized for English-only right now. This would probably explain why your search for Indonesian words does not warrant many results. The reason for this is because we have built custom dictionaries for both Natural Language Processing and Sentiment Analysis, and we have not had the opportunity to develop multi-lingual capabilities in this area. Perhaps you would like to know that we are planning on expanding our language coverage by 2010. Please let me know if you have any other questions about this, or anything else.
Thank you,
Julie and the Scout Labs team

Hey dramroll, Thank you for reaching out. I am trying to look into this for you but it would be helpful if you could send me the download files, so that I can be sure I am reviewing the same content. You can send to: support@scoutlabs.com
Also, in the email, let me know which other search terms you were using besides Casio (if any), and the time frame you were viewing.
Thank you!
