A comment on the question "Can I have a flat desktop with the physics, piles, etc without the 3D view?" in BumpTop:
Infinite desktop removes the walls altogether, which means the space will zoom in and out as you move icons around - which is probably not what you're looking for. – Justin Ho, on November 07, 2009 22:06

Justin Ho replied on November 07, 2009 21:10 to the question "Multi monitors , ok ...But bumptop doesn't load on the primary..." in BumpTop:
Right click on the desktop, go into BumpTop Settings. On the 3rd tab "Visuals", click "Move BumpTop to the next monitor" at the bottom and see if you can get BumpTop to show on the monitor you want.
We do not currently support multiple monitors, although this is being considered for a future release.

Hi there,
Hit F1 in BumpTop and ensure you're running build 4178 as we have made some improvements in the past few updates.
We've seen this with certain Intel graphics cards - updating the graphics driver usually resolves the problem. The textures loaded into the graphics card are corrupted for some reason, despite our attempts to refresh them upon resume from standby.
Let me know if you still see this problem - we'd love to get more system information so we can try to permanently eliminate this problem.

Sounds like you have a shortcut that's going to a drive with no disk in it. A removeable drive, or a CD drive perhaps? Can you remove the shortcut and see if that fixes it? – Justin Ho, on October 24, 2009 17:21
Justin Ho replied on October 21, 2009 17:54 to the question "Copy when dragging and dropping?" in BumpTop:
Hi there,
You should be able to hold down CTRL while dragging to change to copy mode.
This is definitely the case in the latest v1.5 VIP builds - as we duplicate the Explorer functionality - so if you find that it does not work, we should be able to have an update later in November 2009 that will address this problem.
Hope that helps!

Hi there,
My apologies! This is not intended behaviour!
Just to confirm, hitting F1 inside BumpTop shows build 4178?
Can you post up information about your graphics card? What video card and video driver do you have installed? (Go to Start, Run, dxdiag, click Save All Information, and copy/paste the section about your video card.)
You can also try clearing your image cache to see if this resolves the situation: Exit BumpTop, go to Start, Run, %APPDATA% then go into Bump Technologies Inc., BumpTop, and delete the Cache folder and start BumpTop again.
Let me know what happens...
A comment on the problem "Bumptop hang when loading" in BumpTop:
In Windows XP
1. Start, run, "drwtsn32 -i"
2. Start BumpTop / trigger the crash.
3. Look in C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\Dr Watson and email us user.dmp and any other generated files (look at the file creation date.)
In Windows Vista
1.Create a WinError.reg file that contains:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Windows Error Reporting]
"ForceQueue"=dword:00000001
2. Double click on the .reg file and add it to the registry.
3. Reboot
4. Start BumpTop / trigger the crash.
5. Look in %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Windows\WER\ReportQueue
and send us any WERXXXX.tmp.mdmp, WERXXXX.tmp.version.txt and WERXXXX.tmp.appcompat.txt files to feedback@bumptop.com. (Again, look at the file creation date to make sure you are sending us the appropriate files for the crash.)
Please RAR up any of the files you send us to keep the file size small.
Thank you so much for helping us with these issues! – Justin Ho, on October 20, 2009 20:15

When BumpTop crashes - can you submit these crash reports to us? include "plon" in the message and I'll take a look at the crashes right away.
Thanks for your help! – Justin Ho, on October 20, 2009 20:06
