Our Mac version is currently in a closed beta. You can sign up for the beta here: http://bumptop.com/signup.php (this is the also on the bottom right page of our download page)
We don't yet have an official availability date for the Mac version, but something should be announced in January 2010 ;)
Justin Ho replied on December 22, 2009 14:36 to the question "multitouch support in xp?" in BumpTop:
Hi there,
Unfortunately, Windows 7 is required. You can contact us via the first link on http://bumptop.com/support/ to request a refund.
Our demo video was made on an HP TX2 tablet PC.
More information is available here:
http://windowsteamblog.com/blogs/wind...
and
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/wi...
Support in Windows 7 is required - so whatever hardware you use MUST be Windows 7 Touch ready.
Existing touch panels may require a firmware update and/or driver update to function with Windows 7.
BumpTop does not include support for any particular device, nor does it provide drivers for any device, as we rely on the Windows 7 Touch API entirely. Any touch device that works with Windows 7 Touch API will work fine with BumpTop.
To fully leverage the gestures in BumpTop, a 3+ point multitouch panel is required. Panels with 1 or 2 points of touch will work fine, but certain gestures will not be available. Again, this is dependant on the touch panel itself, and/or the drivers provided by the device manufacturer.

Justin Ho replied on December 17, 2009 04:23 to the question "missing program elements" in BumpTop:
Hi there,
It's not an installation problem - but a bug.
We're getting close to a general BumpTop v2.0 update that fixes this problem - we hope to have this update out soon.
If you'd like to get a testing version of v2.0, you can register for our forums here:
http://forums.bumptop.com/ . Accounts are activated every few days, and this will let you try out the new theme installation experience.
Thanks for your patience - I apologize for the troubles!
Justin Ho replied on December 16, 2009 21:40 to the question "Can I interact with applications in a 3D view?" in BumpTop:
Hi Nicholas,
We're hard at work integrating web browsing capabilities into BumpTop. While we won't pull in actual applications (like Notepad, Solitaire, etc.), you will eventually have the ability to browse websites, and minimize them to thumbnails in BumpTop.
This feature won't be available in our upcoming v2.0 release, but will should be available with our v2.1 update coming around February 2010.
You can catch a glimpse of our v2.0 which is currently in VIP testing if you register on our private VIP forums here: http://forums.bumptop.com/
Accounts are activated every few days - so once you sign up, wait for a broadcast email when a new build is available for testing.
Hope that helps!

Hi there,

We're using that for VIP testing at the moment since it gives us better ways to email people directly.

Very strange. I tested this morning with an XP SP2 and XP SP3 box with GPO redirection and BumpTop was running fine. We had made a change to the shell call for detection of the desktop location to improve performance, but we'll revert that for now since it appears to have solved your problem. – Justin Ho, on December 09, 2009 21:41
Justin Ho replied on December 09, 2009 12:34 to the question "Bumptop stopped working with desktop redirection" in BumpTop:
Hey guys,
Can you let me know how you're redirecting your desktops? Also, please give OS version, service pack and language you have installed.
We'll test with GPOs today, but we've done Windows 7/Vista right click on Desktop folder in profile, Properties, and change to a network path using the Location tab. We're not reproing the problem here.

Justin Ho replied on November 26, 2009 21:15 to the problem "icons go blank on windows 7 when coming out of standby" in BumpTop:
This is likely related to your video drivers.
If you have an Intel graphics card, see if you can update the drivers from intel.com.
Our drivers page has more information: http://bumptop.com/drivers
Feel free to post up details about what graphics card you have, and what video driver you have installed: Go to Start, "dxdiag" and click Save All Information. Copy/paste the first section into here so we can see what you have in your system.
Justin Ho replied on November 26, 2009 19:05 to the problem "Bumptop clean each time I restart" in BumpTop:
Hi Justin,
There's probably a problem with the scene file saving.
STEP 1:
Can you shutdown BumpTop and ZIP up the files inside:
%APPDATA%\Bump Technologies Inc.\BumpTop ?
I don't need the subfolders, but I do need the scene.pb.bump in there along with any loose files.
STEP 2:
Then start BumpTop up, drag something around, throw an icon against the wall, and ZIP up the files in the folder again.
Email me the two ZIP files to support@bumptop.com and I'll take a look.
Thanks!
