The CSS fixed worked... though of course I did it way too early in the morning and overwrote my good CSS with an older version that was not so good.... but it worked.

Hmmmmmm interesting solution but since I have a graphic header that I prefer NOT have the blog title written over it then perhaps I'll wait for an updated version that does not have this bug. Either that or do some research on how to make the blog title invisible.

Josh has more options there than I do since on the general options page I don't see any id options at all.

Michael,
I am using Firefox, also it does the same thing in IE and Safari. Also I uninstalled the plugin and reinstalled to no avail, same error message each time.

I think my next step will be to deactivate my various plugins one by one to see if that does anything.

I keep trying to make this plugin work but I keep getting the same error message, even after my password was reset by support at Intense Debate. Support suggested it could be a problem with my host not allowing server to server calls, but given it talks to Live Journal, Facebook and twitter with no problem I don't think that is the issue. This seems like it would be an awesome plugin if I could only get it to recognize my login.

And yes I can login into the Intense Debate website with no problems whatsoever so it's not like I am incapable of typing in the right information.

Ok, I have reset my own password now several times. I also tried using the IntenseDebate user key to no avail... This seriously should not be a problem to vex me so...

i am trying to setup Intense Debate on my wordpress blog, and I get this message "Login failed. Please check your credentials and try again." any ideas why?
