Hi Bob,
I had a fault case open for this, and I asked them to keep the case open over Christmas while I'm away and not doing the scripts, so I can test when I get back. As above, they said that was OK, but I got an email yesterday to say the case is closed.
So hopefully MediaShout respond to you. Maybe they could add you to this case as it is actively happening for you now. I'm not doing anymore scripts to test pre holidays.
Happy Christmas.

Exporting v4 song database as v3, looses verse order, BG & other settingsWhen exporting a v4 song database into v3, you lose verse order, BG, and other settings. In fact it seems to import in with whatever the default template is.
It should be retaining all the song settings for each song that were in v4.

Sorry, even though I've commented on this above, I sill didn't realise that this is the same issue I reported to John Phillips on 2nd Dec.
John found a work around, and that was to place a "Blank" page as the first page in the song, and all would work fine, which is what you've sort of worked out above.
I was doing a large script for a production, and it was annoying having to remember to fire some cues using spacebar as normal, and some using the mouse. So I was pleased to have the work around.
I have Vista32 and I'm on b137.

Yes I've checked it now too. The mute below the viewer in cue soundtrack properties is just for muting the player while setting up or editing the cue. When you hover over the icon it does say "mute player sound", so guess it is sort of logical. But I had never seperated the two functions in my mind. I thought it was a quick mute icon for the cue, and that it wasn't functioning properly.
Perhaps the main mute in the advanced area, should have more information other than just saying "Mute". There is an information area below (in the advanced area) that is supposed to be more instructions on the function you have selected. It just says mute. Maybe it could say... "Main Mute for soundtrack in cue", or something.

Ah! I noticed that when I muted the one under the viewer, the sound stopped. John, are you saying/thinking that this is a Preview Mute only for when you're testing/building, and doesn't bear any relevance to the MUTE under the Play area of advanced properties which actually affects the cue itself. I'll have to try that. If that's the case, then that's why one doesn't change the state of the other as they have seperate functions.
Kenno replied on December 17, 2009 01:54 to the problem "Soundtrack does not play on "spacebar" fire of Song Cue" in MediaComplete:
Hey John,
This is what I mentioned to you recently, possibly in an email not a thread.
There are two places you can apply a mute. Both are visible on Randy's latest picture above. But when you apply the mute in one of those places, the state of the other doesn't update to show it is muted.
So in Randy's case above, you look in the PLAY are in the advance properties in the right pane and the mute is unchecked, but it is checked in the icon below the viewer, so is muted.
One should naturally update the state of the other, otherwise one of those will be showing incorrectly, as in Randy's case.
This is an interface inconsistancy that needs to be fixed to save continued confusion.

Apart from the MS becoming unresponsive part, it sounds like the same problem as mine. – Kenno, on December 17, 2009 01:41

Do you have the ability to put a Distribution Amplifier in the feed to the projector, and add a standard LCD or CRT in there, so you can see if the whole feed dies, or just the projector looses it's way.
We have this setup anyway so that even if the projector isn't on when we start the lPC the dual screen is still enabled as the PC sees the CRT.
I still wouldn't have expected the laptop to loose visibility of the projector, as once the laptop has start and seen a dual screen device then you can normally even disconnect that device and reconnect it, without the Laptop dropping to single screen. Certainly that's what happens with my personal Toshiba with NVidia card anyway.

Kenno replied on December 14, 2009 01:24 to the problem "Playlist and Announcement Loops" in MediaComplete:
This is a known bug, albeit obviously a really really hard one to squash. It's been in the system for over 6 months.
You can play audio from the Audio Deck, but it will always stop at the end of the track, ignoring any advance settings.
I currently have to use WMP to play continuous audio while looping announcements from the script.
I put in this as a bug approximately 6months ago. http://www.getsatisfaction.com/mediac...
It has changed slightly over that time, and I have more understanding of exactly what is happening.
I REALLY hope this is fixed soon. Preferably this year.

Kenno reported a problem in MediaComplete on December 11, 2009 11:19:
Comment Cue IssueOccasionally (four times tonight) when I drag in a new comment cue to the end of a script, the comment cue is dropped in the correct place, but it is not sitting ready to edit its text. The word "New comment" is in place, but not selected ready to edit as normal.
Now for the strange bit...
But what does happen at the same time, is that a comment cue, several cues above the comment cue I've just dragged in, has its text selected and highlighted ready to edit. It's real strange, because you naturally just start typing once you've dropped in the new comment cue, and suddenly you realise you're editing a previously entered comment cue at least 4-6 cues above where you have just dropped the new comment cue.
I'm sure I've only seen this in b137. It happened a few times a couple of weeks ago, then about 6 times tonight. It only has happened when the script is quite full of cues. ie. 80% of visible screen space used.

Hi Nato,
I've upgraded that PC to b137, but sorry, no scripts are remembered at all in the cue deck. Also, no scripts are ever seen in the quick pick drop down list in the cue deck either. It's always empty.
All scripts in the audio decks are remembered on that PC though. Just not the cue deck.
I reported this for the first time 9 months ago.

Kenno replied on December 07, 2009 10:04 to the question "Lock individual songs so no one can change it." in MediaComplete:
You can lock the song library in Tools|Setting|songs.
Once locked, you can make changes to songs, and the changes are held locally with the script, but those changes aren't saved back to the song database. So if you change a song and save the script, then bring in a new copy of the same song that you've changed, it will be without the new changes. So it is the original if you like.
You can't choose which songs to lock though. All are locked.
