Kershnee replied on December 14, 2009 19:51 to the question "Working with many images" in Yola:
Hi there,
This is possible with Flickr. The Flickr Lightbox widget allows you to quickly and easily create a slick photo gallery with thumbnails that link to larger images. Here's how it is done:
1. In the Content sidebar in Yola, open the Photo Gallery folder.
2. Drag and drop a Flickr Lightbox widget onto your page.
3. In the properties sidebar enter your Flickr account email address (usually a Yahoo! address) in the email address field.
4. In the "Photo Count" field, enter the number of images you want to display.
5. In the "Search" field, enter the tags of the photos you want to pull from Flickr (make sure you have added tags to your Flickr photos or you will not get the desired result).
6. Specify how many columns you want for your photo gallery.
7. Click on the Image Size drop down menu to select small square, thumbnail or medium sized images.
8. Finally, choose between a "modern" or "plain" style for your photo gallery images.
9. Click the "Apply" button to update your photo gallery.
Now save and preview your page. You will have a gallery of clickable images. In the top right hand corner of the large view of the images, click the "next" button to view the next image in the gallery. Click the "Close" button when you are finished browsing through your gallery.
Note: If there are privacy settings on your Flickr photos the search will not be successful. The photos need to be publicly available for it to work.
We have a great tutorial for you to view, please click here: Photo Galleries.
Kershnee replied on December 11, 2009 13:18 to the question "How can I tell how much traffic my site is getting?" in Yola:
Hi Chuck,
The code must be added to an HTML widget at the bottom of each page you want to track. You could place the code anywhere on your page, but always adding it in the same spot helps you keep track of where you have placed it.
If the code is installed correctly you will not see anything on your page, but Google will use this invisible tracking code to gather data on your site. Once you update your site, it be verified and you can log in to your Google Analytics account to find out all the information you want to know about the people who have visited your site. Please be aware that it takes 24 hours for Google Analytics to collect the first lot of data about your site.
(Note: Google Analytics sometimes gives a Javascript error on drop. This is a known issue, but will not interfere with Google's ability to verify your site. If you get this error, simply navigate to another page on your site and all should be fine).
For detailed, step by step instructions, see: Adding Analytics

Kershnee replied on December 11, 2009 07:54 to the question "How do I enable 1 post per page?" in Yola:
Hi there,
If you wish to change the way that your blog posts are displayed on the page, you need to do the following:
1) Click "Edit" on the widget tool bar of the blog post. That will bring up a "Customize your blog display" option and you will be able to make your selections there.
2) You will then be able to select the number of posts displayed on the first page, or whether to expand all posts, the first post only, or collapse all posts.
Kershnee replied on December 10, 2009 14:58 to the question "Shipping features for Yola shopping cart" in Yola:
Hi There,
Unfortunately we don't have a frame time for this to be implemented. We are hoping to add more functionality (like this one) to the PayPal widgets in the near future.
In the meantime, you would need to add the cost of shipping to the price in the description field or include it in the total cost of your product.
An alternative is to create your buttons and customize the shipping rates on PayPal.com. For information on how to add shipping to your products, please view PayPal's Website Payments Standard Integration Guide PDF - https://cms.paypal.com/cms_content/US... (5.8mb PDF). Once you've customized your settings on PayPal, you can copy the HTML embed code provided and add it to your site using the HTML widget.

Hi there,
For a website to work with Yola it does need to be created with our site builder. Unfortunately it is not possible to upload a site created with different software as this will not be compatible with our hosting environment.
If you do build your site with Yola, then you can configure your domain purchased from GoDaddy to point to your Yola site.
