Kevin Fox replied on February 21, 2009 08:45 to the problem "Customer suport link..." in Panels:
Hi Jon,
Thanks for the feedback, we have support at panels.net not coded so spam bots will not pick it up. I will talk it over with the team and see about getting it changed. We are looking to redesign the entire site soon.
Ideally we would like people to use Get Satisfaction for all support requests, how was your experience with Get Satisfaction?
We offer twitter as an option for people, many companies have a presence on twitter and it is free and easy to monitor. I agree it is not useful for an extended support dialogue but for quick q&a it can work well. We want to be as accessible as possible.
Did you have any specific feedback about the text? We tried to keep it simple...
Best Regards,
Kevin

Hi Jon,
Sorry for the delay in reply, the error you mentioned has been fixed. There was an issue with the web server, which was corrected the same day. It is worth while to note that the problem did not effect the showing of panels, information panels were still being displayed on all blogs/sites/etc.
Thank you for the report, we will work to make sure replies are more quickly forthcoming in the future!

Yes! We have an account on Twitter as panelsdotnet or you can use the old fashioned email.... support at panels dot net.

Kevin Fox replied on November 02, 2008 01:51 to the question "Adding OpenID login to website" in OpenID Foundation:
Absolutely, OpenID is made for just that. There is a recipe on how to OpenID enable your site here: http://twurl.cc/6sk
There are libraries for PHP/Python/Ruby here: http://openidenabled.com/
JanRain.com also has a hosted solution that may be worth looking at depending on your technical prowess.
Kevin Fox replied on October 30, 2008 04:01 to the question "How to deal with existing accounts?" in OpenID Foundation:
Excellent question Nathan. If possible I would use a domain name you control and use OpenID delegation. That way you can use nathan.com as your OpenID login and delegate behind the scenes to the OpenID provider of your choice. You could switch providers at will and no one would be the wiser. There are lots of articles out there about how to set this up: http://twurl.cc/6ng
Setting up OpenID delegation is a rather technical process though and not for everyone. Check out myOpenID, it is an excellent provider and has some great tools for making OpenID easy to use. myVidoop also has a OpenID solution that has a built in password manager for storing your old user account info.
It is worthwhile to note that Google is still not accepting logins from other OpenID providers, they are strictly an OP. It would be nice to see Google as an RP too, but this announcement will still drive an increase in adoption of OpenID by medium-small sites as relying parties. This means while the number of logins you currently have is not going to decrease, the number of accounts you will have to create in the future definitely is!

I believe they solved the problem in the topic noted below, please take a look and let me know if you are still having issues:

Kevin Fox replied on September 10, 2008 06:25 to the question "openID" in OpenID Foundation:
There is a great tutorial on how to OpenID enable your site here:
http://www.plaxo.com/api/openid_recipe
I would also suggest checking out the OpenID Foundation home page:
http://openid.net/developers/
If you run a site that accepts OpenID and want to make it easy for people to get an OpenID from myVidoop we have an affiliate program at http://affiliates.vidoop.com
Joining an affiliate program is a way for you to keep your members from having to wade through all the different providers and possibly getting stuck with an unreliable one.
Hope this helps!

Kevin Fox replied on September 02, 2008 19:51 to the question "Twitterfeed" in Vidoop:
I just checked and was able to log in to Twitterfeed with my myVidoop OpenID.
Are you using a myVidoop OpenID account?
Once you login do you see "logged in as http://username.myvidoop.com" at the top right?
Any further information, screen shots, etc. would be helpful.

If you could share some of your insights into how we can improve our account creation process that would be appreciated.
Also Ma.gnolia allows many different logins, you can use your Facebook account or an OpenID from ANY OpenID provider.

Kevin Fox replied on August 19, 2008 18:58 to the question "How do we get removed from the Demand OpenID list?" in OpenID Foundation:
Congrats on getting it done and eventual removal from the wall of shame. The folks over at JanRain are the maintainers of the site as far as I know. They usually live in #OpenID on Freenode but I could be worng.
Would be nice if a company could prove they are compatible and automagically be removed.
