I love the new beta Friendfeed. Thanks to the live feature I no longer need client side software like Twhirl. I just wish I could collapse the right sidebar so that the content expands the full window width. This is especially helpful on smaller screens like mobiles, netbooks, or just resized windows.

Can I make a suggestion for the dashboard?

I'd like to see some changes in the "Software recommendations" block. The same software is always listed but I've already decided not to use those apps so it's just wasting space.

Suggestions:
1) Add a "remove from list" link next to an app.
2) Shuffle this block to show other apps from the full recommendations list.

Yes, excluding apps on the *client* side would be a nice feature. Hiding it on the server side seems to work but it's not as comforting. Of course this means you'd have to set the hidden apps on each client on which you run the tracker.

Cable is very frail. Broke in less than a year.

ER-4P cable breaks easily. After about 1 year of use the sound cuts in and out as the cable moves. Break point seems to be inside the molding where the cable splits in two. Forums suggest that this is not an isolated incident. Repair is $50.

These earphones are supposed to be one of the best but this is the fastest any earphone has broken on me.

Allow comments on category pages

It would be nice to be able to write comments on category pages.

For instance, if I'm looking for a new instant messenger that supports the skype profile I could add a comment on the messenger category page (http://wakoopa.com/categories/interne...) asking if anyone knows of a messenger that supports skype IM.

Just did a packet capture of Twhirl (0.9) sending updates to Twitter and Friendfeed. SSL was used for Twitter but not Friendfeed even though Friendfeed has SSL enabled on their API so it seems the API endpoint (http or https) is hard coded.

Since updating to 2.7.2 I've been getting conflict resolution prompts on all my PCs for newly added bookmarks. The resolution prompt includes identical bookmark information in both the server and local panes. The prompt appears several times a session.

New network interfaces created on VMware tools updates

Updating VMware Tools (win) creates a new network interface every time the tools are updated. New interfaces always use default network settings (DHCP etc) so any previous settings are lost. Attempting to set the new interfaces settings to the same as the old interface produces a Windows warning that the two adapters conflict.

It would be great if updating VMware Tools updated the existing interface driver rather than creating a new interface.

Upgrading between versions resets virtual network settings. There does not appear to be any way to backup virtual network settings and restore after an upgrade, then again an upgrade shouldn't break it in the first place.

Unusually long save time for extended exposure shots. Sometimes it takes 30 seconds or more.

Poor focus especially in low light

Sometimes takes multiple attempts to get a good focus. Requires pressing and releasing the shutter halfway a few times. This is especially the case in low light situations.

GR Digital (first generation) often freezes when the rear dial is depressed. Tried numerous firmware versions but the freeze is reproducable in all versions I've tried.

I've resorted to using the "show summary for more than 3 updates" checkbox. I'd prefer not to enable that but at least Twhirl is usable now.
