Bug that supposedly got fixed still there...I am refering to bug #6466

First off, is there a way I could implement one of those patches without having to recompile the source? (I don't have a comp. sci. degree, so I deff. don't know how)
Second, if the bug was fixed a while ago, as it appears to have been, why is it still a glaring issue in the latest release of songbird?

I was really hoping that with the release of version 1 that this would be fixed, but as nicbot stated, frustration ensues, don't get me wrong, I love songbird and I love open source, but this issue shouldn't be looked at as feature the way W has quoted.
To me, modern computing is mainly based in the premise of being able to multi-task, when you can only play the artist that is displayed in front of you, you can't multi-task.
And nicbot, correct me if i'm wrong but even in iTunes was there not a shortcut you could click on to take you back to "Now Playing"? It seems that songbird may be the only media player, that I have used at least, that doesn't keep a running tally of what album is playing so you can change tracks while browsing for the artist that you want to play next.
Once again, please don't convey my frustration with this issue as frustration with Songbird in whole, what you guys do is amazing, keep up the great work! -

When I am playing an album in filter pane view and I want to browse the rest of my library, I navigate away from the currently playing album (naturally). However if I want to keep listening to that album I can't. It won't let me advance to the next track and it wont play the next track in the album automatically. This seems extremely un-intuitive to me, why wouldn't it just keep playing the current album?
This is the only issue that bothers me about Songbird, everything else is amazing, I just don't see why this doesn't work...
