Well, I've done EVERYTHING everyone and I have suggested, and it froze again. I'm taking a break from Songbird and I guess I'll have to use Amarok (I don't like Amarok). I can't afford to lose information over a music player. Lemme know if anyone fixes the problem.

Cannot add new songs, MP3's are grayed out.

I looked at the other posts and they said this could be fixed by installing and completely configuring gstreamer. Well, I did that but I still cannot add any songs to my library (other than the ones imported in the setup) because all of the songs are grayed out in the file browser. Any help?

I already had album art manager uninstalled, but I'll try hiding the art window and I'll let you know if I have any problems.

Now it's doing it for no reason at all. My god, I just want to enjoy Songbird without my computer crashing! IS THAT SO WRONG? lol

Since removing almost all the non-default addons yesterday, I haven't had any problems...

False alarm. It froze again when I wasn't even in the Browser OR Firefox. Could have something to do with switching Feathers though..

Switching to that deb package in SugaryToaster's thread (from getdeb.net) seems to have fixed the problem for now. I'll report back if the problem comes back.

Can someone PLEASE help? In Ubuntu (Hardy), this happens whenever I use the Web Browser function in Songbird or when I run Firefox at the same time. The whole computer, mouse, keyboard, sound freezes up and I am forced to restart the computer. And I really like Songbird! :(
