Linco Printing set one of Linco Printing's replies as an official response to "proofing process" in Linco Printing
Linco Printing replied on October 29, 2009 23:18 to the question "proofing process" in Linco Printing:
Many of our customers prefer using pdf proofs. They may either be located very far away, or it just saves them from having to make an extra trip to our company.
- When pdf proofs are requested, an email is sent to the customer with information about how to download them.
- Once downloaded, customers check the pdf proofs for any errors.
- If there are no problems, then the customer will reply to the email giving us approval to print by writing something along the lines of, "Everything is ok. Please proceed with printing." for example.
If your full color job is being printed on coated paper, an Epson inkjet proof will give a very good idea of what the color will look like on press.
- Customers who choose inkjet proofs are contacted either by email or telephone to let them know when their inkjet proofs will be ready.
- Customers can visit us at their earliest convenience to check the inkjet proofs for color and/or any errors.
- If there are no changes to be made, the inkjet proofs can be approved for printing by signing off on each one.
