A comment on the problem "embeding codes on my blog" in Yola:
Sorry Dana
It's still not coming through. Based on this little snippet of code though.. I do believe it is not possible to use the HTML in your blog post to make this work. The blog post HTML is not intended for use with advanced coding. You can try using the HTML widget instead and pasting the code there and have it accessible on the blog page, rather than in the blog post. – Sanja, on December 14, 2009 14:12

Sanja replied on December 14, 2009 04:21 to the question "Adding a Favorites icon to every page" in Yola:
Hi Brendanloftus1
You may be able to use the Save Page As feature for your future pages:
If you ever need to copy all the elements of a page, you can quickly do so using the Save As feature. Duplicating a page is also sometimes a wise action to take, before making any significant changes to it. That way you will not have lost any of your work if something goes wrong, or you simply don't like the changes you've made. You can always delete the copy, and your original page will still be there to go back to.
Here's how you do it:
1. Navigate to the page you want to copy
2. On the Yola toolbar, click on the down-arrow next to the "Save" button.
3. Choose "Save Page As"
5. The "Save Page As" dialog box will pop-up asking you to name your new page, (and give you the chance to change the page heading, and decide whether or not to include the new page in your menu).
6. Click "OK" and you're done. The newly created page will now appear up in the Page drop-down arrow of page choices, so you can go back to it again if you chose not to include it in your menu.

Hello Donald
You could take star background and transparify the background possibly. There is an online photo editor that can do this. http://pixlr.com/editor/

Sanja replied on December 14, 2009 03:00 to the question "Why won't my sites load in site builder, I've tried everything else" in Yola:
Hello Tok Guru
I believe I am able to see your site on IE7. I've attached a screenshot. Can you confirm that this is your site?
One thing I did notice though is that your images have a very large file size. Web friendly images should between 20 and 100KB each, depending on how many you have on a page. You can see the file size displayed below the preview of the image in your file manager.
Large images can cause delays in opening, saving, previewing, publishing and viewing your site. This will be a source of frustration to you, and your site visitors. This is how to fix that problem:
1. click on the "File Manager" button
2. click on the picture you wish to edit and then on the 'Edit Image', you will go through to the photo editing site, Picnik.com
3. once in Picnik, click on 'Resize' (make sure the 'keep proportions' button is selected)
4. change the size to something smaller
5. click on ok and then "Save to Yola"
If the picture is too big to load with Picnik, you can change the file size on your PC and re-upload using the File Manager. If you have access to image editing software such as Photoshop, you can use their "save for web" function and this will automatically optimize your images and save them in a web friendly format. You can also use this [Image Compression Tool](http://www.stanleyshilov.com/online-t...) which will allow you to upload your image, compress it and then download the smaller file.
We have an excellent tutorial which is an overview of creating Internet savvy images including information on issues such as screen resolution, image file formats and dpi vs. pixels, here is a link: Images & More Tutorial.
I hope this information helps. Please let us know if you still have trouble.

Sanja replied on December 14, 2009 00:38 to the question "Rating System???" in Yola:
Hello toledobehemoth
I believe you can create 2 rating systems on the same page. If you're referring to the Votxo.com service, please refer to this FAQ page for more information: http://www.votxo.com/faq.php?lang=eng...
If you want to use a service like Polldaddy.com - they too offer multiple rating on 1 page: http://support.polldaddy.com/rating-w...
I hope that helps!

Sanja replied on December 13, 2009 02:46 to the question "Yikes... my site published when i bought a domain - how do i unpublish for now?" in Yola:
Hello weaver
If you have bought a domain your site will be live automatically.
What you can do is unpublish your site as follows: (You will NOT lose your domain).
1. Click on the down-arrow next to the yellow "Update My Site" button.
2. Click on "Publishing settings".
3. Click on "Unpublish your Site".
You will be asked to confirm that you wish to unpublish your site. Click on "OK" and your site will be unpublished.
When you are ready to publish your site you then publish it to a domain you already own as follows:
1. Click the yellow "Publish My Site" button in Yola.
2. Select "I already own my domain name" and then "Next step".
3. Enter your domain name and follow the prompts to publish your site.
Your site will then be live on your custom domain.
Please let me know if you have any trouble with this.

Hello John Mc
I took look-see at the game site you posted. I don't know if you realized this or not but the games all have an HTML code which allows you to embed using iframes. This may be an easier way to go?
I've attached as screenshot to show you where you can locate the HTML code.
Perhaps you have another reason why you're wanting to download the files and upload to your site? If this is still the route you want to take, I'll have to get back to you on how to use all 3 simultaneously.

Hello Jan
I'm hoping that I understood you correctly!
If you wish to change the way that your blog posts are displayed on the page, you need to do the following:
1. Click "Edit" on the widget tool bar of the blog post. That will bring up a "Customize your blog display" option and you will be able to make your selections there.
2. You will then be able to select the number of posts displayed on the first page, or whether to expand all posts, the first post only, or collapse all posts.
Please let me know if I have misunderstood.

Hello hillbrookssgp
1. You can upload up to 15mb per file with a free account and 100mb per file with a Pro account.
2. Unfortunately it is not possible to upload a previously built site into the Yola Site builder. For a site to work on Yola it needs to be built using the Site Builder tools.
Yola offers a free hosting and an excellent site building tool if you would like to give it a try. You can see a full list of our tutorials which will step you through various aspects of building a site with Yola, here: Yola Tutorials, or you can watch some video tutorials about using Yola here: Yola.tv.
Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Hello peake-engines
I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble with this.
If you have already bought a domain somewhere else, you can use it to publish your site, and still host your site with us for free! However, first you will need to configure your domain name to point to Yola. You do this by creating A records (address record) to point to this IP address: "208.75.208.172".
We have a tutorial outlining the steps to configuring your domain: Publish to a domain you already own.
For detailed instructions for a few specific domain registrars please click on this link: Domain Configuration with GoDaddy, Register.com & other domain registrars.
Once you've pointed your domain, watch a step-by-step video on how to publish your site using a domain you already own, please see: Publish to an external domain.
Please let me know if I have misunderstood you or if further clarification is needed.
