Lizzer replied on June 23, 2009 16:07 to the problem "Some problems with links" in Lizzer:
Below are our responses to your questions. Hopefully this helps, though as always, feel free to contact us with further questions and or feedback at support@lizzer.com.
1. Because all email clients treat videos differently (sending and receiving them), we thought it would be best to have Lizzer simply insert screenshots of the videos that link directly to the YouTube video. Once you search and find the video that you would like to use in an email, you can either link to it (by highlight text and clicking the "link" button) or insert a screenshot that also links to the video (by clicking the "insert" button). Both the "link" and "insert" buttons can be found by either rolling over the video thumbnail in the Lizzer tool or clicking the preview button on the video thumbnail. Unfortunately until email clients get their act together, inserting videos that are ready to play can only be done on blogging platforms like WordPress and Tumblr.
2. We appreciate the feedback as we sometimes forget what the Lizzer experience is like for a new user. We have begun posting instructions for specific applications/services on our blog (http://lizzer.com/blog), though will certainly look into ways that we can further explain how Lizzer works across all of these applications/services. If you do have specific questions regarding these services, feel free to post them in Get Satisfaction or send us an email at support@lizzer.com .
Thanks,
The Lizzer Team

Lori,
I am sorry that Lizzer is not working properly for you, but hopefully we can help. This is an interesting problem that we have not encountered in all of our testing. If you are able to replicate the problem, would you be able to take a screen shot and send it to support@lizzer.com ?
Thanks,
The Lizzer Team
Lizzer replied on June 08, 2009 22:43 to the problem "Problem with gmail" in Lizzer:
Simon,
I am sorry Lizzer that has not been working properly for you, though hopefully we can help. Lizzer seems to be working just fine in our Gmail testing (Chrome and IE7), though it may be a Gmail gadget that is interfering with the Lizzer tool as we have seen this occur before.
Have you installed anything from the Gmail labs by any chance?
Thanks,
Team Lizzer

Lizzer replied on May 13, 2009 19:04 to the problem "Gmail error: No Editor Found...so where'd he go?" in Lizzer:
Pat,
Sorry for the trouble you are having with Lizzer, though am glad to hear you liked it when it was actually working. Would you be able to try the following and let us know the outcome (support@lizzer.com) to see if we more precisely identify your issue?
1. Log into you Gmail.
2. Refresh your page (to destroy any possible instances of Lizzer already on the page)
3. Click on Compose Mail to create a new email
4. Launch Lizzer and try to insert an image into your message
Sometimes Lizzer loses it's connection to the text editing area because of the way Gmail dynamically loads the page and a complex structure of inline frames. From our experience Lizzer works best when it is used just after login or a good refresh of the page.
Our development team is looking into this issue and hope to have a fix shortly. In the meantime though, you may want to either try refreshing your page before launching Lizzer or using Gmail in another browser such as Safari.
Also, have you added any gadgets from the Gmail labs?
Thanks,
The Lizzer Team

Lizzer replied on April 09, 2009 15:37 to the problem "Don't store unhashed passwords or send them by email" in Lizzer:
Dan,
Thank you for your interest in Lizzer and we just wanted to get back to you with some further information regarding the issue you raised. First and foremost we wanted to clarify that passwords are not stored in plain text and that the password that is sent to a user after signing up is never actually stored. The password is actually taken directly from your input, escaped to prevent injection, and then inserted into your email and sent to you for your records.
Additionally, we opted not to use the MD5 hashed passwords as there are many online databases available that would allow someone to perform a search on a hash that returns the plain text version of your input. Without going into too much detail, our passwords are stored with a salt based encryption method that is unique to each user.
If you feel like your password has been compromised, you can use the forgot password option on lizzer.com. It does not send your password, instead it emails you a unique link to change your password. If no action is taken in a certain period of time, this link is expired. No password is sent.
User privacy is something we take very seriously and appreciate your input (and encourage you to give us more!).
Thanks,
Lizzer Team

It does. Try it out at the FCK demo site (http://www.fckeditor.net/demo).
If you find a specific instance of FCK that is not working, please let us know so we can look into it.

Lizzer replied on April 09, 2009 15:20 to the problem "Flickr results are different" in Lizzer:
Lizzer only serves Flickr results that users designate as licensed as "Creative Commons". A general search on Flickr will return all photo results. Here is a sample search for "westport ct".
All:
http://www.flickr.com/search/?q=westp...
CC only:
http://www.flickr.com/search/?q=westp...
You can perform this type of search from the Advanced Search page. http://www.flickr.com/search/advanced
We do this as a courtesy to Flickr users who do not wish to share their images.

Lizzer replied on February 27, 2009 15:31 to the problem "Dosen't Post Youtue Video on Wordpress" in Lizzer:
Joe,
Since most Rich Text Editors (where you compose your blog) do not accept flash embeds (videos) while composing. Lizzer inserts an image as a placeholder until you publish your blog. Once you publish your blog, the image should be hidden and you should be able to see your YouTube video when viewing your post.
Some Rich Text Editors actually strip out flash elements from being posted, this depends on the service. If this is the problem, you would need to address the web developer who is configuring the Rich Text Editor to allow the OBJECT and EMBED tags.

Lizzer replied on February 27, 2009 15:16 to the question "Is it possible to download images from my PC files?" in Lizzer:
The best way to get your images into Lizzer is via Flickr. Flickr has free and paid services and if you don't have one, you should create a Flickr account. Flickr makes it easy to batch upload and share images. We make it easy to connect Lizzer to your Flickr account so you can search your photos from anywhere on the web and insert them into your email or blog.
Once you have your Flickr account setup: (http://flickr.com)
1. Go to the Edit Services Page (http://lizzer.com/user/services)
2. Click to expand the "Image" section.
3. Click 'activate' next to the "Flickr Accounts" service.
4. Enter the email address you used to create your Flickr Account and click "Save"
5. Click the checkbox next to "Flicker (your@email.com)" to add to your Lizzer services.
Now wherever you use Lizzer, you should be able to search your photo's on Flickr.
