I was just hoping to have the option of turning it off, or selecting which words get sorted like that. As all my other music players WILL drop "The" and "A" and "Les" (french) but not "Los" and "El" so I've grown used to finding them there.
And as for my "!!!" issue? :) – LostChild1, on March 14, 2009 19:17

Problem With Artist Pane Display: Not Showing Up / Incorrect orderFirst of all, love Songbird, and the newest release. A+ job you guys. :)
Anyway, the problem that I'm having is recent (As in, did not happen in Songbird 1.0.0)
What happens is, as you can see in the picture, my artist "!!!" shows up in my Library pane, but dos not exist (Throughout the entire list, I've checked) in the Artist pane. It's not a huge deal, but it should be brought to your attention.
Also, I don't know if this is intentional or not, but I understand "The" and "A" being 'dropped' to properly place my artists, but for things like
El Perro Del Mar
&
Los Campesinos!
when I expect to find them under E and L respectively, I instead find them in P and C, which just confuses me. Is there a way to set a list of words to 'drop' and which to "laisse-faire"?
Thank you!

I started it in safe mode, and disabled all my add-ons and it works perfectly. All my tags are there in tip-top shape. :) Thank you! (And thanks for the quick reply! :D)
Can't wait for Songbird 1.1 to hit the "official" tubes. :)
And if you'd like, I can host up the wallpaper for you to grab. I don't remember the original artist of it unfortunately. :( – LostChild1, on March 09, 2009 22:50

Metadata Shows Up In "Currently Playing" but is BLANK in LibraryMetadata doesn't appear in Library, but appears fine in player header (Currently Playing track area)
I have roughly 12,000 songs. And I tried deleting my entire library to refresh it, but these 600 or so stayed behind.
All my tracks are identical, and were all hand tagged by me through Kid3. This problem is a NEW problem, as these tracks worked before and now don't.
Finally, I tried going from Songbird 1.0 to the latest nightly build, but it's still happening. :(
Any ideas?
(NOTE: I'm using the x86_64 build on Linux. :D)
A comment on the problem "Media Core Error: Resource Not Found" in Songbird:
D'oh! Of course! That's why it was Boards of Canada and Bloc Party! I'm slowly goin gthrough my 10,000 songs retagging them all. So if it's not what it's looking for of course it won't find it :) Silly me, I should've known. Sorry to have taken up your time, but thank you :) – LostChild1, on December 04, 2008 00:45

Media Core Error: Resource Not FoundI've been getting this error quite erratically. All the files that I'm playing are MP3 files (No .m4a, no FLAC, nada)
I'm running the 64bit Edition for Linux (Ubuntu 8.04 to be specific)
It's happened a few times, and the error is really vague. For the record it happened on a Bloc Party song, and now a Boards of Canada song.
