Mada Seghete replied on December 02, 2009 18:00 to the question "Isn't Yahoo credits already free without Yola Pro?" in Yola:
Hi everyone,
Thanks for buying Yola Pro.
The Yahoo $25 free advertising credits deal is something that was created specifically for Yola. While you can go to that page, you can only do so because we created it with Yahoo. You would not get the $25 credits if you simply signed up on their website at: http://advertising.yahoo.com/smallbus... without having been on our page first. Once you clicked on the Yahoo Free Credits link in the Yola Pro receipt, a cookie is stored in your browser and you will see the credits every time you try to sign up.
The free Yahoo advertising credits are there for small businesses who plan to use the Yahoo advertising program on a regular basis.
They require you to buy the minimum $30 advertising which is what a small business spends on advertising monthly at a minimum of $1/day.

Hi guys,
We don't mandate the size of your PSD but you should follow these guidelines:
- The resolution of your PSD should be screen resolution.
- Your design must work on a screen resolution of 950px wide. (your banner/content area can not have a width greater that that)
- Your style should be able to scale vertically with any amount of content.
- Your background must work with any width and height - depending on how you decide to tile the background you might need a PSD of larger width.
I am really excited to see your styles :) Please submit on the website an also send them to designers@yola.com.
Thanks.

Mada Seghete posted an update in Yola on October 22, 2009 23:49:
Announcing the Yola Style Designers CommunityHello creative Yola fans,
We are happy to announce the Yola Style Designers Community. The goal of the community is to create a mechanism for designers to easily submit new Yola Styles, and if the Styles are approved by Yola, designers may earn money from their work. (Approval of Styles is at Yola's sole discretion and is subject to terms of the program.)
Check out the program at:
http://styledesigners.yola.com/
Some important points to keep in mind are:
* We are only looking for visual designs, in layered PSD format
* Everyone must follow our Design Guidelines
* Designs should keep in mind the Yola Audience
* We only pay for submissions if we accept the style (we only use accepted styles) - read more in our Terms and Conditions
* Images must be images you own either own all of the rights to, or stock images that you can direct us to, and that we can buy redistribution rights to. Images you find on the web and don't have redistribution licenses for are NOT acceptable.
We're very excited about this initiative and we look forward to your Yola Style design submissions!

A comment on the update "Introducing Yola Pro" in Yola:
Hi Boomer, Let me try to answer your questions.
1. You will get to keep the style. If you don't renew the bundle you will lose the Yola link removal option for sites not utilizing the premium style, HTML upload and the size limitations will revert to the original free limits. However, you will not lose any of the sites and content you created while you had the bundle. The premium style will also still be there to use with existing or new sites you create beyond that point.
2. No, you just won't be able to add additional HTML or CSS files. Anything you add now will still be there.
The style is basically still a one time fee purchase, included in the bundle. In addition to that and the HTML upload, the bundle also includes:
* The ability to create up to 25 sites in your account.
* Individual file uploads of up to 100MB
* Total storage of 5GIG per site and 125GIG for your account.
* The Yola Link removed from any free style you use in your account.
* Credits for services from iStockphotos, Facebook Ads Trial and Yahoo Search. – Mada Seghete, on September 30, 2009 22:44

Mada Seghete replied on September 11, 2009 21:14 to the question "How do I load an image from PPT to a page?" in Yola:
Hi James,
Alternatively, you can take a screenshot of the ppt slide and upload it to the website page as an image. For best quality you can maximize the slide to fit the entire screen before taking the screenshot.
Below on taking screenshots on Windows:

Hi Bob,
It really depends on the image. If the image is copyrighted or was taken from a source it was copyrighted you should not use it.To be on the safe side, you can use our partner, iSTock http://www.istockphoto.com/yola-offer and buy images.
A similar site with free images you could use as an alternative is:
