well, guess what, i am having the same problem too with my own hosted wp site. Add meta tag - no problem just doesn't authenticate, even though the link is live and takes you to the authentication page. Make a post with the link - no problem, link goes to the authenticate page and guess what it says that it cannot authenticate the site....ho hum have tried this loads of times, will go off and sit in the corner and cry now

i tried meta tag first then deleted it and opted to post a blog thru my blogspot and stumpleupon, but still not working

To authenticate your site ownership, you can create a blog post containing a customized link, or you can add a META tag to your website. Have you tried the creating a blog post to verify your site? Can you provide us with the URL to the blog entry with the verification code?

You're not alone, Dan.
I have the same problem verifying my MySpace. I've posted the verification code numerous times in numerous places, but when I press that verification button, it comes back that it cannot be found. "Link not found on (I tried posting it in both blogs and comments, since the blogs do not appear on the front page, which is where the address is from.)

I don't have access to try the Meta tag method.

I tried adding the code to the text in the sidebar, but that didn't work, either, so I removed that. The undergoing verification post is still there.

Looks like you were able to verify it! Friendly reminder: you have to visit the verification page again, or wait up to 15 minutes for auto-verification to occur.

Manny, i've faced the same problem. I've been spending hours figuring how to fix it but the web keeps telling me, Link not found on http://beyond-sights.blogspot.com/.
