Hi ! i have the same problem here... proc engine -1000 or proc engine -878 all the time. Tried all the possible ram settings (4gig) from min to max and it doesnt change a thing. Using CS3 on XP dual intel core with all the other topaz plugins working fine. Tried small (3megs JPG)images and bigger (35megs JPG)images and no change too.
Please help.
Thank you

Need tips on video grabs postprocessing !Hi Eric and all of you,
I need a solution for some videograbs postprocessing...
considering the tools i've got so far (adjust, denoise, dejpeg), what would be the best way to get the best out of video grabs ? I thought dejpeg would be the right choice but i'm not satisfied with the results i get so far using presets. Please note that i am deinterlacing prior to anything else.
Thank you Topaz team :o)

default color balance is incorrect in adjust 2.6dversion 2.6d is not working properly : it changes the color balance before applying any changes. It does this when opening the adjust filter. I'm working with photoshop CS.
thanks

Again, thank you Eric and Ablichter !
Eric, you are right it is really faster but not as good in the result. Is it only a matter of CPU power or can i do something to speed things up ?
I wish you all a Merry Chistmas ! Your team is doing a great job ! Please be sure that speed set aside, i am more than satisfied with your products.

Thank you Ablitcher. i just did what you suggested. Ram is at 20% and there is no loss of performance. History level is at 3. But it still takes 1minute30 seconds to apply that filter. Is it normal ? is there a way to speed up things ? i am always using vibrance presets with denoise technology set on at 1.0 . When i use this, its always the first operation i do right after opening the file, right after opening photoshopCS. Why is this taking so long to apply?
Intel core2 CPU 4400@ 2.00ghz
2.69ghz, 2gig ram
thanks

Thanks to both of you ! Maybe i'm doing something wrong here:
My concern is to find a way to speed up the time it takes to filter with denoise technology 'on', with vibrance preset.
It takes 1minute 30 seconds to apply the filter on a 15meg decompressed JPG. I'm convinced i would get faster results if i could use more of my memory. Do i need more RAM ? In the same way, is there a way to take advantage of both cpus i've got ?
I've got 2 gigs of RAM on an XP environment. The usual file size i'm working on is small, about 5megs jpg format when not opened(14megs decompressed). I get the error message if the memory allocated to photoshop is more than 1,2gig, and Adjust only works if i don't do any other operation prior to using it. If i do let say a 4X6 cropping operation -smaller file size resulting- and then use the filter, i get the 'not enough memory' message. I've found that i had to set a memory setting of 1gig max (56%) to avoid the problem.
What do you think ?
Thank you.

still out of memory with adjustV2.6I'm using v2.3 in parallel with V2.5 with memory issues. I replaced the V2.5 by V2.6 now on photoshop CS. I still have out of memory message from the 2.6 version. I have tried every possible memory setting over 1gig of ram (wich seems to be the stability limit) and nothing changes. Working below 1 gig means loosing speed on everything... what can i do ?

Martin reported a problem in Topaz Labs on November 05, 2008 13:57:
noise removing in 2.5: the previewing window gives a false renditionwhile adjusting noise reduction (with denoise option checked on) in topaz adjust2.5, there is a big difference in what you see in the preview window compared to what you get after clicking OK. It does this when you are not seeing the picture at 100% in the zoom option(by default or when you click on fit).
it does this with any presets i have tried. You must have the denoise option ON and not at 100% zoom level to see the problem Here is the image i used to make my tests. If you try it, you will clearly see what i mean while looking at the background. The results are so pleasing in the preview window and not so great after clicking ok. The resulting image is still full of artefacts while it was showing smooth surfaces in the preview mode. The preview is the result i want :o)
thank you !

Hi again !
concerning my previous msg, i've just found that it's the previewing window that gives a false rendition when not at 100% of actual size. When smaller, it evens out the grain and artefacts more than what you get when clicking OK.
Its kind of sad cause the results in the preview window is awsome (everything is smoothed out without loosing important details, but the real result after clicking OK is full of artefact.
here is the original picture full size

Hi again Eric,
While using adjust2.5, i have noticed a difference in the preview vs the final image with 'photo_pop' and using noise supression with Denoise checked on. While the preview show me no more grain at 1,404 , the resulting image is still full of it. here's the original image to try it.
Thank you and keep up the great work :o)
