This is what we did:
"The final platform will be submitted through Obama's "Listening to America" process in which the campaign is encouraging supporters to jointly craft platform planks."
We did what we could to facilitate the creation of the draft and make sure it went to the appropriate people, but how they used our submission in the end was out of our control.

We are definitely looking at ways to bump up foot traffic in the hall next year ... adding coffee or food, hosting events in the hall, providing a map in advance, etc. are all great ideas.

We're going to look at the number of panels next year -- not sure if we'll cut or not, but we'll definitely have them video recorded again. Our video archive should be up within a couple of weeks.

How much food we can provide is a result of the cost of catering in our host city, so we don't know just yet what we'll do. But, we will likely have at least a few meal spots open so that attendees can explore the surrounding area. The convention center in Pittsburgh has about 100 restaurants within a 5 or 10-minute walk.

Good point. We did have a number of workshops and training sessions on Thursday, but maybe we can look at how to make actionable items come out of our panels a little clearer.

Thanks! The convention center in Pittsburgh is the first and only LEED certified cc in the country, so we'll be developing a big carbon-neutral, low- (or no-) waste plan.

He was in Austin. What panel was he supposed to be on that he didn't show for? Could be that the participant list was not final or something.

One of the big things we're going to look at is the format of panels. We've gotten the best response from panels that include more discussion, so we'll be encouraging panel organizers to think outside the box and also doing some panelist/moderator training.

The book signings were offered to all of our speakers who are authors as well. We need to be more proactive next year to make sure our women panelists are responding to our offer.

No-shows should definitely be a no-no. If you know of panelists who did not attend, be sure to let us know (otherwise we may not have noticed).

We did have transcriptionists covering all the keynotes and some of the panels. Those should be online within a few days.

We're doing a big green initiative next year, so we'll be doing all we can to make the convention carbon-neutral and as close to zero-waste as possible.
