My time decreasing and opponent's time increasing after opponent movesSometimes, when my opponent takes more time than usual to move, after he moves my time decreases and his time increases with that same amount! Almost like he steals my time... is it possible?

Losing rating when opponent lost on timeIt is my opponent's turn and his time runs to 0:00:00, and nothing happens. A minute later I get the message "your opponent appears to be disconnected"... and when my opponent returns I get the point, but my rating stays the same. Then when i log in again, my game history shows I lost the game, and my rating is lower!

How to: Validate your email accountWhen I log onto chesscube, I am told that I cannot chat until I have validated my email. What does this mean, and what should I do?
A comment on the idea "ChessCube Version 3 - Any Comments?" in ChessCube:
Ah, i see. It looks much better with 1024 x 768. I've gotten used to the room tabs at the bottom, but what will happen when there's too many tabs for the space? In the current version there is a drop-down arrow that lists all your chat tabs- can it be added to the new version? – medusa, on August 23, 2008 07:58

overall it looks nice, but the board seems a bit small to me. and there is quite a lot of wasted space at the bottom of the screen. i dont see the icon that minimizes the left side panel either. if the panel is minimized the board takes up that space as well, it will fill that empty space quite nicely.
some other problems:
*colour of the invites/requests...i hate it! its so blue :( and doesnt contrast enough with the blue bottom left. also, on the invite, the name is too close to that colour
*the report abuse button isnt visible enough
*the latency meter - is it going to show exact lag (like in the current test version) or just the colour bar?
*the room / chat tabs being on the bottom of the screen is a bit different though. i think they are better at the top. i notice too that there isnt a drop-down arrow that lists the tabs like in the test version
the total score being shown and chat to opponent only option is great though :)

I have also had this problem lately - but i discovered the cause (so if u share a connection maybe your problem is from the same thing)
My problems only started this year- when new students started using our connection... what happened is, usually chesscube has the same priority as any site, except local sites (IMs, emails etc).
What one guy that uses our connection does, is mirror the sites he download from on local sites, so his downloads get priority over the normal sites we use - meaning his downloads take up most of our bandwidth, leaving me with over 100 000ms lag...
To solve the problem, simply find out who does it and (if you have access to the router) disconnect the cable that is constantly flashing while your lag is so high ;)

Conference chatAdd a conference chat feature that allows multiple users to be invited to chat on one screen. Simply add an "add user to chat" button to private chat" - this will encourage people having extended convos in public to take it to pvt (whereas they cannot currently if they are more than 2 people chatting) Will also be nice to be able to speak to all your friends at once in a private chat.
