No Default Shadow and Outline

I would like to suggest that the default Carousel templates have the shadow and outline feature turned off on the text. It's nice to have those features, but I think it makes for a cleaner design to have them off. It is a pain to have to turn them all off, especially on the weather bulletin.

That is unfortunate... Is it possible for bulletins not to have any background at all then? That way I could just update zone backgrounds, and wouldn't have to update all the bulletins.

If my bulletins are made from a specific template, and I update the background of that template will the corresponding bulletins automatically update?

If not it seems that in order to change the look of my sign I have to change every bulletin's background... Help!

We set up our own RSS image stream from Flickr, the only problem is that they are pretty small on a high definition monitor. That is what is great about the large image RSS feed from NASA.

Is there a problem with mpeg4 file format in carousel? I can not get mine to play no matter how small I make it. I've made the bit rate and the file size tiny and it's still not working. Is h264 codec an issue? Anyone?

Can anyone explain how the RSS Image Block deals with resolution on images? The block seems to cropping the images instead of scaling them to fit the block.

How do I create a schedule bulletin that displays multiple days all at once? For example I want to show Monday and Tuesday in the same bulletin at the same time.

That must be what is happening because the text block for the title and description is small, limiting the characters helps but cuts off the RSS feed. I was trying to figure out if there was a better way to manage this problem... What does the 'auto size' feature do? I thought it might adjust the size of the RSS text to fit in the space available, but that does not appear to be happening... Grrrr... The RSS feed text is just too long!

Be aware that your friends can also send messages to your sign if they know your Twitter user name. There may be a way to block this from happening, but I haven't gotten that far.

Did you know it is possible to send text messages to Carousel? Yep, actually you send text messages to Twitter, then you link Carousel to the Twitter RSS feed. It's pretty cool.

Why are my RSS feed item descriptions not visible? I can see the news source, the date, and the copyright, but the item title, and item description are not showing up. Not sure what to change to solve this.

Okay... I've got the feed from Google Calendar working... Can you give me more clues about connecting straight from Exchange Server and/or Entourage? It be cool to avoid the added step of going to iCal.

Can you clue me into how to get this iCal feature functioning? Are there more specific directions somewhere? I looked at the wikipedia page suggested in the tightrope manual and it didn't help.
