Michael Huang replied on December 24, 2009 01:03 to the question "Science project!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" in Joby:
The legs are made by Joby. Unfortunately, we don't sell the leg segments by themselves. Though it wouldn't be as cool, depending on your project, using bendable coolant hose might work. Or, if you've got Gorillapods you don't want anymore, you could take those apart. However, be aware that since Gorillapods aren't designed to be taken apart, the joints will likely get looser and may even crack. It would also probably make for a very expensive science project.
Just out of curiosity, what sort of things were you planning to make?
Michael Huang replied on December 22, 2009 22:36 to the question "Connecting iPhone to Original Gorillapod" in Joby:
Besides the iPhone 3G/3GS case, we offer a mobile accessory kit consisting of adhesive clips and a suction cup clip, which you would stick to the back of your phone. The adhesive clips are designed to stay on your device permanently, but if removed they shouldn't leave residue.
Does that help?

Michael Huang replied on December 11, 2009 18:21 to the question "SLR accommodate smaller digital cameras as well?" in Joby:
The Gorillapod SLR will work great with smaller compact cameras in addition to lightweight SLRs. So long as there is a tripod hole on the bottom of the camera, the Gorillapod should work fine.
If you'd like to be able to swap between cameras easily, we offer additional clips that you can leave on each of your cameras. The Gorillapod SLR comes with a bubble-level clip.

Michael Huang replied on November 04, 2009 23:11 to the question "Original Gorillapod and Olympus stylus 1030sw" in Joby:
Hi Gillian,
Just checked the Olympus website for Stylus 1030sw and it seems that your camera weighs 6.3 oz without battery and media card, which means that it's perfect for the Gorillapod Original (max 11.5 oz).
I'm guessing that the 1lb spec for your camera is a shipping weight, including the box. Or perhaps they rounded up?
I'm glad that you're considering a tough tripod for your tough camera. We'd be happy to answer any other questions you have. Happy picture taking!
