I think I was on wifi while using the app yesterday. Today, after seeing your post I tried checking results while out in a 3G area, as well as home w the wifi off. I had similar results with two locations quickly appearing in the "find me" area, as posted above. I did not check in at any of these locations, just curious to see if multiple locations still populated location box. Perhaps it is just me? I guess a larger sample of users with the new version is needed.
But so far this new version seems to be working fine.

Tony, the updated version seems to be working ok. One thing I noticed (I only upgraded the app a few hours ago) and don't think I saw in previous version, was after "finding me" clears two locations will pop on the screen in succession -- the second is accurate... but the first seems to quickly display an intersection in the area, but not necessarily exactly where I am. Almost like it is "zeroing" in on my location. I don't know if this is just me... or changed to work in the manner.

Sure. Sounds good. My android installation has been working without a hitch once I did the re-install, which seemed to eliminate the data problem over edge/3g.
I did notice in another thread someone initially having login problems when first using the app. I, too, had a similar problem...if I remember correctly the android app would only login at first with the supplied temporary password. It may have taken a few hours for my website username/password to be able to login.

I had a similar problem the first time I installed the app on Android. It worked fine while on wifi, but anytime I was in an edge/3g service, the "gps" symbol would not appear at the top of the screen, and after a few moments an error message about not being able to connect with brightkite servers appeared.
I deleted it, and re-installed while on 3G, and it seems to be working fine since.
