Hi luckybiker,
I have created a test account on your network, can you please approve me and I will try and reproduce it.
Remember that resetting a password is a two email process. Email 1 contains a reset link. Email 2 contains their new password.
From there they are directed to a login page. They then need to login with their new password.
From there, they are directed to their Account page.
For clarity, your members can reset their passwords via email? They just can't reset them for a more memorable one when they go to their Edit Account page?
If so, please remember that Firefox and other browser's Autofill may have placed an old password in the 'Current password' field. Make sure the 'Current password' field contains the one we sent you via email when you clicked 'Forgot password'.

Hi sojan,
You can authenticate accounts on that site against our API. Take a look at the API Sample Code in the Network API Access section in the Admin Center.
And take a look at the Advanced Settings section of the Admin Center for entering your external domain for authentication with us.
Please note, this is only possible if you actually own come2play.com. It's not yet possible for a SocialGO network to authenticate against a different site.
The API is in early stages of development at the moment and will be expanded over time.
We'd be glad to hear your thoughts on possible API improvements.
Mike Martin replied on December 06, 2008 16:29 to the question "Why is my site running so Slow...?" in SocialGO:
Ok, there are two separate issues here.
Sengorel, can you give me the URL of your site so I can see what the problem might be, if you don't want to divulge the URL publically, message me with the URL on the owners network (http://owners.socialgo.com), my username there is Mike Martin.
Mopeder, which videos are you talking about, can you do the same and send me the URLs. If the video is hosted at Youtube/Vimeo/Dailymotion then it is something we can't control. If you are talking about a video hosted with us, then our downloads are progressive and not streaming and therefore it leads me to believe that the problem would be to do with the speed of your internet connection.
Even if you're on DSL, if you're downloading another file at the same time as watching a video or your Internet Provider isn't giving you the bandwidth you need in order to watch a video on SocialGO.
If you are watching a video that is hosted and uploaded to SocialGO, and want an uninterrupted viewing experience, I suggest waiting for the gray progress bar to get to the end before pressing play.

Hi TonicWater,
Glad your domain's now working, will ping that question through to Tom to see if he can help.
Hi ahmabd,
Can you tell me the name of the domain and your current SocialGO network so I can check your domain records? If you don't want to disclose that information here, you can email me: michael@socialgo.com
Thanks,
Mike

Hi TonicWater and ahmed55,
This is most likely because your nameservers aren't hosted with GoDaddy. http://help.godaddy.com/topic/163/article/681 gives a little more information. (Read the Note bit)
You need to set your nameservers to the 'Default Parked Name Servers'. After that, 'Total DNS Control' will show up in the 'Domain Details' menu.
For more detailed help, I suggest contacting their technical support and asking them how you can get Total DNS for your domains.

Adding your website correctly to the Open Directory project also helps, that's always indexed by bots like the Googlebot. The Open Directory project can be found at http://www.dmoz.org

Hi Wayne,
In GoDaddy, go to the Domain Manager, click on the domain name (e.g. mysite.com)
Then click 'Total DNS Control and MX records'
In the editor, make '@' point to 92.60.117.57
Make the 'www' CNAME point to '@'
So your 'Total DNS: (Available)' column will look similar to:
ARecord @ 92.60.117.57
CNAME www @
Hope this helps,

Hi Johnson,
The CNAME and A remarks are related to pointing your Domain Name to your SocialGO network. Your screenshot looks like you're trying to do domain forwarding which isn't the same thing.
If you wish to do domain forwarding then you need to set the forwarding destination to the URL of your network, e.g. http://yournetworkname.socialgo.com
To setup your domain to actually point to your network then you will need to alter your Domain Name records. I am curious, what are the other options in your 'Destination' type drop-down box?
