I don't know, but have you ever heard of the mozilla suite?
I never used it but if I'm right, it had an e-mail client, chat client,...
But they stopped developing that program. Now there's Seamonkey which is designed to do provide the same functionality (I think).
BTW: if you're sticking to Firefox because of some add-ons you like, they're probably compatible with Seamonkey.

I don't like this, but you don't have to make me like it.

I just want my browser to be a browser, I want it to do what it is made for: browsing.
And it has to be the best at browsing, but making it possible to run other programs in a tab would require resources I don't want to spend.
(I use a dock to open other programs without leaving the window I'm in.)

btw: there is already a plugin for browsing web pages in Thunderbird.
(but it's nothing like surfing in Firefox)

these ideas apply to the week, multiple weeks and month view.

Allow resizing columns like you can resize windows explorer or excel columns.

I'd also like rows to expand automatically the number of events exceeds the available place.
Of course their should be a limit on the expansion of the row, then you'd get a scroll bar, just like sunbird is now behaving.
(or maybe no limit but at least an option to set a limit)

Why not with every other cell phone capable of synchronizing a calendar?
This is very important, people won't always start up their computers to look at their calendar. Nor will they all print it out if they can use their cell phones which are always turned on and in their pockets.

Repeating an event (or task) is very handy, but not every event needs to be repeated until the end of time. So it would be handy to let sunbird know for how long the event will be repeated.

Printing a calender is an extremely important function and in my opinion the printing functionality could be improve a lot.

I'd like to pose one question: do you really want to start your computer up merely for checking your schedule?
In my case, the answer is 'no'. So I want to have a handy print-out of my calender.

Here are some functions I'd really like to see in Sunbird(/Lightening):
1) We really need to be able to print 2 week overviews on one single page,
2) We have the function to exclude weekends from our normal calender view, but we can't print calenders without the weekends.

Making it possible to go to the previous/next song, adjust the volume etc.
Without this function I would never make the switch.
