I used to sign in under my Facebook account, now that I changed my Brightkite username, i'm not able to sign into my account (under my username) under the iPhone/iPod app or the web. Any guesses as to what's going on here? Thanks. (user nathanrdotca)

I found a much better solution and one you can recommend to others with the same problem. Google for and download a tool called MozBackup which will backup an existing profile (if you have one) and then you can restore it on another computer.

Done and solved.

Yeah well, creating a new profile means installing every extension from scratch, reconfiguring my preferences from scratch, that's something that's time-consuming and I'd really rather avoid it. If there's maybe 1-2 corrupt files, I'd rather replace those instead.

I don't have Firefox 3.5 and I just copied the profile over from one computer to another after I reformatted. Do I have any other option? I really /really/ don't want to create a new profile. It's too much work.
