Nathan Massey shared an idea in Facebook on September 06, 2009 23:45:
Facebook should create 'Community Groups' based on 'Networks'.I think it would be great if the 'networks' on Facebook had a page where people who belong to those networks could discuss things.
For example, i'm on the 'Leeds' network on Facebook, and I would find it useful to talk to other people in Leeds about issues in the community.
If each 'network' had a 'discussion board'-style page, I think it would help in getting people talking about their local community.

Sony should add WiFi to it's home entertainment products, and create a iPhone app to control them.It would be great if Sony could add a WiFi connection to all of their home entertainment products (Bluray players, surround sound systems, amp's etc), and then release a iPhone app that lets you control all of these items using a onscreen remote, specific to each device.
Perhaps Sony could release a WiFi adapter that plugs into the Digital Media Port that's on most Sony products, to give older products this functionality?

Nathan Massey shared an idea in UK Government on August 31, 2009 00:07:
A website should be created that plots the location of all non-private CCTV cameras in the UK.A website should be setup that shows the location (plotted on a 'Google Maps'-style map) of every government run CCTV camera in the UK.
Such a site should also let you select a camera from the map, and view the live feed from that camera.

Nathan Massey shared an idea in Flixster on August 29, 2009 23:52:
Flixster should make a 'Movies Pro' version of the Movies iPhone app that removes advertising. All the banner ad's in the Movies app are really annoying, so it would be great if Flixster offered a Movies Pro app, that removed all the advertising, and charge a few £ for it. I'd be happy to pay is it's a quality app, and to get rid of all those ad's.

The Movies iPhone app should show UK BBFC classifications for movies for UK users. It would be useful for users in the UK to show the BBFC classifications (U, PG, 12A, 12, 15, 18, R18) for movies instead of the US MPAA/CARA ratings (G, PG, PG-13, NC-17, R).

When searching for a movie in the Movies iPhone app, you should get results as you search (like Google Suggest).Just a small request, but I would find it really useful if the search system on the Movies app suggested results as you typed. It would make it much quicker to find results this way.
If you want to get a idea of what i'm talking about, use the 'Spotlight' search on the iPhone, or read this blog post about Google Suggest.

Movies iPhone App: Send a Push Notification when a movie you 'want to see' is released at the cinema or to buy (online/dvd).I think it would be really useful if the Movies iPhone app sent you a push notification the day a movie that is on your 'I Want To See' list is released at the cinema or to buy online or on a DVD/Blu Ray disc.
It would also be cool if when you slid the 'click to view' slider (after the push notification appears), you are taken to the show times for that movie at your nearest cinema (using Location Services) or taken to the iTunes Store app to buy the film.

Movies iPhone App: The "I Want To See It" rating should be a separate button on the movie detail page.I love using the Movies iPhone app to mark movies as 'I Want To See' to remind me to see a movie after watching a trailer or hearing good things about a movie from a friend.
It would be great if the 'I Want To See' rating was a separate button alongside the 'Play Trailer', 'Add My Rating' and 'View Photos' buttons on the movie detail page.
I think this makes more sense as marking a movie as 'I Want To See' is really a rating at all. If you have 'I Want To See' as a separate button, you would have room to change the ratings panel to have a 'Loved It' and 'Hated It' buttons, along with star rating and optional review.
Nathan Massey replied on August 29, 2009 18:42 to the problem "No 3G coverage in the Rothwell/Woodlesford/Oulton (just outside of Leeds) area." in O2:
Nathan Massey gave praise in O2 on August 29, 2009 18:39:
Impressive 3G speed in Leeds City Centre!Had my iPhone hooked up to my laptop using tethering today, and noticed that the 3G speeds in Leeds have improved dramatically. I'm used to getting around 30KB/sec at best, but got between 280KB/sec and 310KB/sec today, which is a massive improvement, Those speeds were also indoors too which makes it even more amazing!
If O2 can keep improving their network like this and solve some of the other issues i'm having, there's a good chance I might stick with them at the end of my contract.
Nathan Massey replied on August 28, 2009 00:53 to the problem "Barclays needs to drastically improve it mobile banking website (barclays.mobi)." in Barclays:

Looks like Barclays have taken notice and added a iPhone icon for barclays.mobi.
It now also says the following on the mobile site,
"Our log in pages have now been optimised for mobile users. We plan to optimise additional services within Online Banking in the future."
So Barclays are making progress with this, but a actual iPhone app would be even better.
