nbr reported a problem in Brightkite on November 12, 2009 01:56:
Email and SMS checkins are being ignored againHello -- over the past few days, Brightkite does not seem to respond to checkins via SMS (sent to 41414) or to my personal email address. I've tried sending them via regular text message from my Verizon phone, via email from my phone (from a @vzwpix.com address), and from my Gmail account. Nothing happens, lately, most of the time. Occasionally it does work, but when it does, I don't get any acknowledgment of my posts the way I used to, so I have no way of knowing when a post was successful.
These errors started happening around the time of the upgrade to 2.0, but for a short time they appeared to be fixed. Let me know if I can provide any other information. I will also cross-post this to tenderapp.
My username is nathan.

Well, I find this pretty mystifying, since I can't duplicate it on my other computer, but it appears that I am seeing a conflict between the extension Aardvark (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/fire...) and Feedly. When I disabled Aardvark, Feedly mini returned. As I say, I have almost the same configuration on another computer and don't see the conflict, so I don't know what to say, but there you go. Too bad -- I like Aardvark, but I'll manage without it. I'm going to try uninstalling the Aardvark extension and then reinstalling the most recent version.

Can you remind me of how to get to the mini preferences section? Previously I only ever reached it via the icon in Feedly mini itself, and I don't see a link from the regular preferences screen. (On the regular preferences screen, I only see choices to enable mini -- which is selected of course -- and an exclude list.)

Help! Feedly mini has disappeared!I don't think I've changed any configuration settings recently. Feedly mini is no longer appearing for me on any pages as of a few days ago. I'm using FF 3.5.3 with the following extensions: Diigo, Iterasi, Greasemonkey, Amplify, and Feedly. None of these extensions has had a major update recently, as far as I know, and none of them had compatibility problems that i was aware of.
I don't have any good hunches on this one. Has anyone else seen this?

Mobile updated from Verizon Wireless aren't working (again)Some time ago (there's a lot of posts on this) Brightkite had trouble with mobile updates coming from Verizon Wireless phones, both SMS and email. I've had no trouble with this for probably a year, but since the recent update, I can't update from my mobile phone any more. I've tried sending both SMS (to 41414) and email (to my personal email address) from my phone, and I get no response from Brightkite.
Any suggestions? Thanks.

Control key hides Feedly mini search-results box -- can it be unhidden?I've noticed that when I'm on a search-results page where the Feedly Mini search results box is activated, the box will vanish when I hit the control key. I assume this is intentional (though I don't know). I'd like to suggest that you make this option user-configurable (i.e., make it possible for me to turn it off). I control-click a lot to open tabs in new windows. This means that often I inadvertently hide the results box.
Also, I don't know how to make it reappear -- is it possible to force it to open? Reloading the page doesn't seem to bring it back.-

Anyone know anything about Yola (formerly Synthasite)? I've heard good things about them, but nothing very specific. They provide a similar service.

Make Feedly Mini invisible in printI can't see any reason why I'd want Feedly Mini showing up on a printed page. Is there some way to include some medium:print CSS to make it vanish when I print out a webpage? Or does anyone know a Greasemonkey hack to take care of this? It seems like it ought to be pretty simple.

My site, http://nathanrein.com, is loading only intermittently. I bought the domain through Weebly.-
