That is simply incorrect. There were vegetarian options both days (more on the second day). I signed the orders and I was there both days when the food was rolled out.

This was an oversight on our (and more specifically my) part. I thought the vegetarian options were also vegan but I clearly didn't read the entire menu.

I apologize for this overisight and I can assure you that there will be vegan options next year in Pittsburgh.

It occurred Friday afternoon at 4:30. We did have some technical difficulties due to the web-conference technology integrating with the A/V in our room and the room at BlogHer, but it did happen.

There is content up on Ustream.tv ( http://www.ustream.tv/netrootsnation ) now but we'll have a better quality version up within the next month on our website.

We apologize about the Clarke miscommunication but there are often last minute changes in speaker's schedules that require these changes. We'll try to figure out a way to get this information out better in the future.

Saturday night, while I think short of "a disaster", was less than flawless. We've noted these scheduling/production mistakes in order to avoid them in the future.

I'm not sure if this is logistically possible due to timelines and sponsor preferences, but it is certainly something we'll consider as we strive to lessen our environmental impact as a convention.

This is a fair criticism and honestly it was two mistakes that combined to make this situation.

First, at 8pm, when the program was scheduled to start, there weren't any people in the room. We could have avoided this by having this keynote earlier in the day and not giving people a 3 hour break. As it was, people left the building and were late to come back (if they ever did at all).

Also, we should have kept the staff comments more brief and maybe fewer than 2 comics.

We (and it was mostly my responsibility) just kind of missed the boat on this one but we'll make sure it doesn't happen in the future.

We don't like Fox News and, in fact, when they asked for credentials to Netroots Nation we told them we would only credential them as "Opinion Media", because of their obvious bias.

Additionally, this was the only time that Gore could make it (he had a high profile speech on Thursday in DC, more events in DC on Friday and he is returning there to do Meet the Press Sunday). It came up within the last week and this was the only way to work in the widely popular Al Gore.

And Speaker Pelosi's first question was about impeachment and the second question was about FISA. It is unlikely that a more lengthy session would have resulted in a different answer to those questions.

Amtrak's Texas Eagle ( http://www.texaseagle.com/ ) goes from Austin to San Antonio. I'm not sure if they have other trains as well. I don't knwo where the station in San Antonio is, but the Amtrak station in Austin is about a mile from the hotel/convention center and surely less than a $10 cab ride.
