Clear form input for tags after addingWhen choosing to add a tag to a Shot, and clicking the Add button, the tag is added but the text remains in the input box. It would make more sense if the input box for tags was cleared upon adding them to the Shot.
A comment on the idea "Use Flickr as an image service" in atebits:
Jeffrey makes a good point here. OAuth is useless when Tweetie 2 sends username/password combinations over plain text to custom image services. Therefore it doesn't make sense for GDZLLA to use it.
It's not a great solution, but the folks over at nclud are more than reputable (they're friends of mine from the DC area and are good, smart people). And it works. I just followed the simple directions on the site from my iPhone and added the custom URL to Tweetie 2 without any issues.
GDZLLA is better than nothing, though it's a shame that's exactly what Tweetie 2 offers Flickr users. Hopefully atebits sees this and adds support for Flickr in the near future. – Patrick Haney, on October 16, 2009 19:24-

Jeff makes a good point here. The 2 things that Foursquare has over Gowalla in my opinion is the mayorships feature mentioned here, and the ability to add a tip when checked into a spot (ie. "Try the sweet potato fries here, they're fantastic!"). Otherwise, I find that Gowalla has everything it needs to be the better app.-

Patrick Haney reported a problem in Gowalla on September 25, 2009 20:19:
iPhone app crashes when viewing a user profile with no visited spotsI noticed that the Gowalla iPhone app seems to have an issue with loading profile screens, specifically those of users who have not visited any spots. If I go to the Friends screen, and tap one of the people at the top of the list that I have yet to Accept or Ignore, some of them begin loading and then crash Gowalla. After checking on the website, I noticed that every one of the people that crash the iPhone app have a profile without any visited spots.

Patrick Haney replied on September 25, 2009 15:54 to the problem "App crashes intermittently" in Gowalla:
I haven't noticed an issue with Gowalla crashing since using the 1.2 release. I had been using the 1.2 beta for a month or so with an occasional crash, but after installing the 1.2 final release, I've had maybe 1 crash (and I believe it was a network problem).
Those that have a problem with crashing may want to restart their iPhones, which sometimes cleans up memory issues. But I've been using Gowalla every day, and multiple times per day, for months now with no real problems.-

Patrick Haney replied on August 05, 2009 19:02 to the idea "Hide dock icon" in atebits:
I realize that including an option to hide the dock icon isn't high priority for the developers of Tweetie, so take this with a grain of salt.
That said, I've seen a few apps do it really well. One in particular that really stands out is LittleSnapper from Realmac. One of the app's most important features is the fact that it gets out of your way when you don't need it, and allows you to quickly use it when you do. And if you click the menubar icon, you get a drop down of the most important functions of the app.
Besides, what are most Tweetie users looking for in the menu? New Tweet, New Direct Message, Go To User, Refresh? Everything else that's used frequently is clickable in the main window of the app or has an easy keyboard shortcut.-

Add option to hide tweets with hash tagsI'm not a fan of hash tags, and I wish there were a way to hide tweets from anyone that that uses them (especially more than one per tweet).
I realize this is probably an edge case, but I wonder if anyone else out there feels the same way about hash tags, which I don't consider all that useful anymore now that Twitter search is so robust.-

A comment on the idea "Hide dock icon" in atebits:
While there are a lot of great options in Tweetie's menubar, that's not where its strength lies at all. The main window is where the real strength of the application is. And keyboard shortcuts, once learned, do a majority of the work that the menubar options would do otherwise.
A great solution here would be to put those menubar options in the menubar icon once it's right-clicked, allowing access to everything regardless of whether Tweetie is the current selected application. Then I wouldn't need find Tweetie to get to them. And another nice side effect is that an option to show or hide the dock icon could be added that wouldn't prohibit users from getting to those options if they needed to.
Just a thought. – Patrick Haney, on April 24, 2009 16:46

Seems I figured out the issue. Someone I'm following (@luxuryluke) had tweeted a blank tweet and Tweetie apparently can't handle that at all. Something you guys might want to check out.

Add Tweetburner's twurl service to URL shortening optionsI typically use Tweetburner's URL shortening service because it's made for Twitter and FriendFeed and allows you to track usage of your URLs to get a better sense of how often they're getting clicked.
http://tweetburner.com
It'd be great to get the http://twurl.nl short URLs added to the option list on Tweetie for the Mac.
