Yes, this is a problem I noticed since I have the feature turned off, as well. Really bad idea. – Jerry, on May 13, 2009 16:02

Yes, it's possible, albeit not as completely seamless as you would expect from a Dropbox sync. You can find directions here:

Quick Send should work on all SpacesQuick Send is a great new feature, I love the speed it adds to EventBox. A problem I have with it, though, is that it will only show up in the (OS X Leopard) Space that EventBox is in. Most of the time, I am working in a different Space, so it will switch over to that one, interrupting my work flow. It really should work on all Spaces. There are apps that do this correctly... Things comes to mind.

Have to press tab key after sending a tweet.I just switched from Twitterrific to EventBox because you are the first client I've tried (and I've tried most of them) that has a similarly good support of keyboard navigation. I really *hate* having to reach for my mouse to use these small apps that run along my regular work flow, so major kudos on getting it right.
Small issue that hurts the experience constantly, though: after sending a tweet (I use the HUD view primarily), I can no longer navigate the event list when pressing my arrow keys. It's like something is stuck, and I get the typical Mac error sound that you hear in these situations. Pressing the tab key once will restore keyboard navigation to the expected functionality. A quick test in the regular "All Events" window showed the same result. Do you think you could fix it so that focus is correctly restored to where it was before I switched into the entry field?-

Jerry reported a problem in Soocial on January 14, 2009 09:53:
Soocial wants to convert my company contacts to person contactsHi guys, I sync two computers via Soocial: a Macbook Pro at home and an iMac at work.
I had to reset my Soocial account again last night because it wanted to change all 119 contacts on the Macbook Pro (the "after" version would have loads of stuff removed). So now Soocial is syncing on my work iMac (which still has exactly the same data as the MBP from yesterday) and it wants to convert all of my "company" contacts on the iMac to "person" contacts, while on the MBP ( = the source Soocial refetched all the contacts from last night) they are still marked as companies.-

Jerry reported a problem in Automattic on November 28, 2008 00:26:
"Finish creating your account by choosing your new nickname!" - I'm stuck in an infinite loop.I have a Gravatar account with three e-mail addresses linked to it. It appears (as I just noticed) that I had actually created a separate account with one of those e-mail addresses in November 2007 (just shortly after Gravatar was acquired by Automattic). Nevertheless, I am able to add that address to my new account, but it gets deleted after a short while. Meaning: it was in my account 20 minutes ago when I added and verified it, and it was still there 10 minutes ago, but it's gone now. No cookie trickery either, because I'm checking this in two different browsers (FF3 and Safari).
Something must have gone wrong, because when I (accidentally) log in to en.gravatar.com with that one email address, I get stuck in an infinite loop that keeps taking me back to the page that says "Finish creating your account by choosing your new nickname!". No matter what I click (log in, reset password), I am taken back to that page. The only way out is to delete certain cookies from the wordpress.com domain (deleting gravatar.com cookies has no effect). I'm guessing something went wrong with my account when gravatar and wordpress.com accounts were merged.
I just spent about an hour trying to figure out what was going on and writing this down. If someone from Automattic could PM me, I will be glad to give you the email addresses in question and any other info you may need so you can check it out (and help me out of this infinite loop).-

Jerry reported a problem in Slife Labs on July 07, 2008 19:42:
Slife interface very slow after 4 days of trackingI've been tracking my apps with Slife 2.0 for 4 days now and the app is becoming unusably slow. Especially the Day view is reeeeally laggy (like a slideshow), scrolling down is tedious so I try to avoid that screen in general.
Switching between Day, Month and Applications is anything but snappy, with again Day being the slowest, taking over a second to load.
Running on a Penryn Macbook Pro with 4gigs of RAM, so system performance shouldn't be an issue. Interestingly, the list has 29 apps after I removed a lot of apps I never asked Slife to track but it decided to track nonetheless (but that's another issue for another ticket).
System is Leopard 10.5.4. Please let me know if you need any more system info.-
