In other words, you agree with the ideas in the speech. (It would seem that you are not a careful reader. Did you watch too many presidential addresses when you were in school? You are aware that other presidents have spoken to schoolkids too, right? And that I agreed with you about the government not "dictating" that children watch this speech?)

Add a way for people to report offensive blog comments. We can click "report comment" on regular stories but not on blog stories. Some of Mike Bianchi's readers are particularly bad.

You're right that extra-curricular instruction should be up to parents. But anyone who disagrees with the ideas in the speech shouldn't be allowed to have children.

Today, Mike Bianchi's column says it has 15 comments and shows the last three. When I click "See all comments" I'm taken to a page with 9 comments, none of which are the three on the article page. 9 + 3 = 12. Where are the other comments?

What is up with the comments? The article says there are 12 comments, I click "see all" and get 8 comments, I click "refresh" and the number drops to 7 comments.

I don't mind the registration so much, but I do mind the fact that comments take a long time to appear, they seem to appear and disappear randomly, you can't reply to comments, you can't be notified of followup comments, etc. And you can't edit your comments. (It's nice that we can edit them here.)
