Hello Lou,
based on experience with other shipments I received via UPS, "WAITING FOR CLEARANCE" in Bucharest means that the book arrived at UPS Romania (the only office in Romania) and was sent inside the country via a national partner of UPS (Curiero, they also do shipping). I think they to this because UPS has no cars / trains etc in Romania.
I will update you once the book arrives to me.

Hello again; the book shipped on Monday 9/15 (the day after your order) via UPS (tracking #1Z 424 851 67 1321 639 3 ). According to UPS, it arrived in Bucharest during the morning of Friday 9/19. Current status is "PACKAGE DATA PROCESSED BY BROKERAGE. WAITING FOR CLEARANCE". So, the good news is that your order is at least geographically close; the bad news is that UPS has left us with the cryptic status message "WAITING FOR CLEARANCE". Perhaps there are customs issues with shipments to Romania (none have come up for us before)?
I'd suggest we wait to see what happens Monday. After that, if you'd consider it, it might make sense for you to call the UPS office in Bucharest to see if you can get more information and we can do the same with our UPS representative.
I'm sorry again that we didn't respond. Long story short: your email was a response to our email confirmation; due to the way Gmail and its filters work, your response was automatically filed away rather than showing up in our customer service representative's inbox. We're taking measures to fix this problem. Thanks again for your patience and our apologies for the hassle!

This is both atypical for us and, more importantly, inexcusable; I'm very sorry about this. It's the weekend here, so we can't ship until Monday, but we're working on this. Were you able to receive the digital download when you made your purchase? If not, please let me know and we'll resend it to you. More soon on your order's status as we learn what happened.

Expedited (outside the US): US$20 for the first book, US$4 for each additional book in the same order. Ships via UPS or Federal Express; typically arrives within 3-5 business days.
3 to 5 business days. That period has passed, the book has not arrived, and Rosenfeld didn't even reply to my email I sent on Monday!
I need an exaplanation Rosenfeld!?
