Phil replied on October 24, 2008 03:17 to the problem "Header and search box no longer on page." in Feedly:
It looks like a useless zoom icon (magnifying glass on the right side of the top menu bar), but in reality it opens the search box. It would be nice if feedly remembered the last setting (open or closed) between sessions, but it doesn't currently. At least it seems to keep it open during a session.
I empathize with your loss of the giraffes. I lost the comfort of rows of books and a sense that I was in a library. On the other hand, the interface is now more functional and cleaner.
Phil replied on October 21, 2008 19:13 to the problem "with Category Page River View Title" in Feedly:
My post had a typo. I meant to say that "read" (not "unread") articles become visible on clicking the category title.
In response to your question, I don't see why the title should be clickable at all, and if it does anything I would think that a refresh would be the only logical action. I don't see the value in getting a preview version of the category page.
I don't recall this behavior existing previously.
Phil replied on October 21, 2008 18:16 to the problem "Unread count off again" in Feedly:
Here's another variation on the problem.
I clicked on an article from the cover page (feed prefs set to open articles in another tab). When I came back to cover the article was grayed to show it was read. When I refreshed, the article still was there on the cover and was back in blue.
Clicked on another feed's article to open that article in feedly. Went back to cover and got the same behavior with respect to that article.
Clicked on the category in cover. Went there and read an article inline. Back to cover and same issue with that article.
From cover, went to the feed page from which two of the three articles above came from. The two articles were listed on the page (despite unread only) with blue titles. Unread count (correctly) showed zero.

with Category Page River View TitleThe title of a category page in river view is now clickable. When I click on it the river view is reloaded with unread articles visible (despite the unread only check box being selected)

Unread count off againI just got the unread count problem again.
Feed shows (and has) no unread articles but count shows 27.
Also, I have a feed with a bunch of unread articles. I use the mark all read at the bottom to mark the entire feed as read. But 60 articles come back when I refresh the subscription page and the feed count goes back to 60 as well.

Here's one other nit with the new versions. When I open a feed edit popup the background is blanked in an odd way. This changed slightly between the two latest versions. Yesterday's version blanked part of the visible background, today's blanks all of it. But because when I scroll the popup and the blank portion scrolls too, the implementation seems odd to me. See attached for a partially scrolled screenshot from this morning.

Phil reported a problem in Feedly on October 20, 2008 23:09:
Additional Info on Previously Reported Odd Magazine View BehaviorSometime previously I reported that I had a feed where the articles visible from it on a category page in magazine view would show in "titles only" while everything else on the magazine page showed summaries. Additionally, the format of the subsection was not being affected by the format selected for that feed on its subscription page.
Today I realized that if I visit a subscription page from the short list of other feeds for a category on the cover page and change the view to titles only that the magazine subsection view for that feed will change accordingly. The subscription view for subsequent visits (from links other than that on the list on the cover page) is unaffected. E.g, if I visit the subscription feed by clicking on the feed name for a summarized article on the cover page, I reach the ordinary feed page and the view is unaffected by the previous view change.
If I want to change the feeds presentation in magazine view I have to revisit the feed from the cover page as described and make the view change.
Is this intended? I like the idea that I can control the subsection views in magazine view.

I think I might have found why you can't reproduce it. I find that it happens every time (in any of three views you tried) in my two two-word categories and never in my three one-word categories.
Here are the feedly warnings upon clicking on an article title from a two word category in river view (strangely, it is a different category than the one in the warning messages).

I have this issue as well. If I am reading any page that shows articles and click on a link within an article, the link opens in a new tab. When I come back to feedly, the view is of the top of the page and expanded article is unexpanded.
On the other hand, if I right click to open the article in another tab and navigate to the other tab, the feedly view is unchnaged when I return.
